Whenever I come here, I'm prepared to down loads of water!π it's just so yummy that ya keep goingπ really liked those fried yam sticks, taste like chips, soooooo sinful but so addictive π
Classmates since we were that tiny and we meet once a year.
From Plum & Rice at the Bedok 216 Market & Food Centre, which seems to be one of the new tenants in the food centre. Serving both Umeboshi rice and porridge, Set A is the Umeboshi Rice with the same side dishes as seen in Set B here; both sets are priced at $4.
Perhaps it was just my preferences but I found the Umeboshi pretty sour (I actually am not particularly fond of sour flavours at all) though it's bright, tangy flavour could be refreshing for some. Braised meat that came alongside felt relatively on the healthy side of things β lean meat with light braised flavours while coming with pickles and a pretty appetising soup on the side. Worth trying if in the area.
Personally prefer this over the Foch Road version as the pickled mustard greens (kiam chye) taste in the soup here isn't too intense, and also because they have lu rou fan! β€οΈ

Wow, I loved this. After seeing much and many Instagram post on this bowl of noodle; we decided to head to Blk 163,Bukit Panjang to try. I think I've fallen in love already. π

If you love noodles, I have to recommend this. Spicy & Non-Spicy versions are available so if you can't take spicy, get the non-spicy one! π
β’
A bowl will cost you $4 for medium, and $5 for large. A medium was an okay size, but if you're hungry, get the large! π€€

My craving and search for good salted egg yolk chicken brought me here. It comes with white rice and the option of a fried egg. Fried chicken bites drenched with savoury sweet salted egg yolk sauce. One of the good ones i've had!
I love pork belly, and I love fried food, so this is doubly sinful but doubly shiok! Deep fried but still crumbly light, seasoned with sweet and soy sauce but not overly sweet nor salty, definitely worth the calories.

This might be the best tze char in Singapore that's under the radar. Other dishes I've tried and like are - claypot tao huey (yes, not tao kwa, but tao huey which is usually served as a dessert) and prawn roll (hae zou).
