Chick(en) Magnet 🐔

Gave their rice bowl a try and chose the Nandoca’s Choice Rice Bowl consisting of Signature Rice (nasi lemak), boneless thigh, grilled portobello mushrooms, and edamame corn salsa. While I believe their chicken is still good and the edamame salsa is a good touch, this meal had a few letdowns - I still really do not buy their replacement of Mediterranean rice with nasi lemak and their mushrooms were clearly burnt :( quite disappointing as I haven’t had Nando’s for a while 😅

This meal used to be my comfort dish when I was a newbie in KL and my palate has yet to open to the wonders of the world lol. Had the urge to try this again recently after around 6 years (?)

Opted for the OG still, though they have more flavor offerings now. Chicken is tad bit dry, could be the last leftover pieces as they were near closing when I dined in. The honey biscuit and mashed potato were just how I remembered it

Did not hit the “comfort” level I was apparently craving for, but tasted nostalgia

Have tried my luck again (just a day after lol!) to try their Chasu bowl but it ended up being sold out. So had to try another ricebowl 😂 This chicken karaage is really filling. It was well fried. It comes with sambal mayo sauce which I find a tad bit spicy at first but enjoyed it after - complemented the chicken really well. Served with onsen egg as well.

Chicken is perfectly fried and topped generously with salted egg sauce. On a bit spicy side but good to pair with hot rice 👌🏻 (@ stall 01-32 Ming Xiang)

My Nando's staple! I match my quarter chicken with their chips and rice all the time lol (mehehe too much carbs). Always been a fan of their lemon and herb flavor with just the right amount of tangy and spice taste for me, though I know they specialize on the hotter side of things 🌶. Mango and Lime flavor is something new that could be worth a try as well :)
