Tasty Forr All
Herbal Poh Zhai Mee ($10.80)
This was probably the best I had @saute.sg . The starchy sauce had a good herbal flavour as the name suggested probably cos of the wolfberries added and the noodles were springy and not soggy despite sitting in that bed of gravy for a while. Ingredients were normal, taking into consideration that this is vegetarian, it was mostly vegetables and mushrooms. Overall, I'd probably pick traditional crispy noodles from the tze char stall over this for the wok-hei.
Chicken Katsu Curry Omelette Rice ($7.90)
Feeling famished, this chicken katsu curry omelette rice is sure to fill that bottomless pit! Super value for 💰, you get freshly prepared runny egg 🍳omelette lying on a bed of japanese rice 🍚 and a generous portion of chicken katsu to go with it. The curry gravy was also decently tasty!
The snaking queue at this famous dakgalbi restaurant from Korea is testament to its popularity. For the uninitiated, Galbi is basically meat marinated in a ganjang-based sauce that is grilled at the table. The star here is none other than Yoogane's Chicken Galbi ($14.90 per serving) — moreish, spicy marinated chicken cooked with rice cakes and vegetables. Add on some ramen or sweet potato noodles for carbs, if chicken alone doesn't fill you up. For something more extravagant, the Marinated Chicken Galbi Fried Rice ($14.90), loaded with gooey mozzarella cheese fried and bulgogi chicken is sure to satisfy! Come with good friends, you'll be spending some time in that queue ;)
Price: $14.90 per serving (min of 2)
Words seem unnecessary after this picture. Nobody questions a moat filled with cheese.
A little pro tip though: eat the cheese fast because once they turn off the heat, it hardens pretty quickly.
