Brunch
Sweet or Savoury you choose. I decided for sweet. This deliciously crafted pancake batter that made the sides so crispy and soft on the inside. Served warm 😍 and topped with ice cream making the ice cream melt real fast but acts like a sauce at the ending, finishing the pancake pan clean. Forget about the pretty plates that were used to serve pancakes or waffles because they served their pancakes in the serving pan where it is being baked! Giving this place a 4.5/5 because the service was great too! The service crew lady saw that we were about to get our tea alacarte but came over and told us that there is a cheaper option by getting a set that comes with a drink, helping us save a few dollars. Friendly and cosy place to be at. Nice lighting for your Instagram post and brick wallpaper as well! Give this place a check! 😊
If you're looking for a place on Orchard Road to people-watch while relaxing over a pleasant meal, Prive Orchard would fit the bill very nicely. Not that I was there for that today when I popped in for a quick brunch 😆
After perusing the breakfast section of the menu, I decided on the ham and cheese omelette. It was filled with an ample amount of smoked ham cubes and shredded cheese, and cooked a little soft and runny in the middle - which is the way I like my omelettes. One thick piece of toast, a pat of butter and a simple salad were the accompaniments.
PRE-monday lazy lazy brunch.
No reservation made as it was lazy brunch.
Queued for about 30mins, regretted not using my fat fingers to dial the number to book a table.
BUT!! OMG their fluffy fluffy pancake (Aka. Canadian) was worth the wait!
*p.s, other dishes were just standard
As how comfort brunch works, the Crab Cake Benedict ($22) comes with poached eggs, Maryland-styled crab cakes & English muffins, drizzled with lemon dill Hollandaise.
The fluffy & crisp muffins paired well with the perfectly fried crab cakes, making it the perfect savory start to your day.
As part of the new Brunch Menu, it is available on weekends & public holidays between 10am till 5pm.
This was rly tasty and very Kai Wei also. The battered cauliflower was seasoned with some pepper flakes/spicy seasoning and tastes amazing with the wasabi mayo which rly packed quite a punch.
Warning tho, this is quite spicy and you might end up drink a little too much water before your mains even arrive.
This is perfection!! It makes my Sunday well spent. Totally recommended, lovely place to chill with your friends or just enjoying yourself. Definitely worth the price.
Two of my favourite items from the brunch menu:
Firstly, the meatless but oh soooo flavourful curried omelette with scarmoza (smoked mozzarella!! ❤) on a homemade ciabatta with sriracha and mayo, plus a cucumber and pineapple raita for a much needed tangy contrast.
The latter is perfect for the not-so-adventurous, featuring a thick-cut slab of bacon 😍, scrambled eggs on ciabatta smeared with garlic sour cream plus some juicy San Marzano tomatoes on the side. Straightforward, but with all the elements done well.
