Ride To Eat
3.5 munchies: Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the chicken wing is THE default ingredient to order at this favourite supper joint. What also did not dissapoint was the sambal – had the right balance of spiciness and sweetness to complement all my chosen ingredients. It was a pity that the rice wasn't as fragrant as before; also a tad overcooked from the clumpy parts. Oh, and I like my sunny side ups flowy.
From Nasi Biryani Prata ($6) to Chunky Crab Meat in Prata ($12.80) and Banana Cream Prata ($10.90), here are 10 roti prata places that offer prata beyond the usual kosong, egg and tissue.

Ok, that's all.
Ended up at the far end of the island in Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre and went for this Bak Chor Mee which was pretty legit. Don't let the pale looks of it fool you — beneath all the noodles is a pool of chili covered with oil; mix it well so the noodles become slurpy and coated with a good kick of spiciness. Vinegar lovers might find this lacking, but I liked how the chili helps add a little bit of savouriness to it overall giving it ample flavour. Noodles were also pretty springy, and while most of the condiments are pretty fine, I was not a fan of the canned mushrooms used in this bowl; probably the only thing that seemed to have bothered me. Otherwise, this is a pretty good bowl of Bak Chor Mee to go for if you miraculously end up in this part of Singapore, and I am only saying this because this is just simply too far west from anywhere on the island.

At first glance, all you see is a spoonful of chilli sitting on a little mound of pale noodles. Not the best first impression. However, upon mixing, you'll find a treasure cove of wantons, char siew and vegetables hidden beneath, and the chilli-mixed noodles begin to look more appetising than ever. If you love your wanton mee, this 24/7 spot ensures you almost never have an excuse not to visit.
It's usually packed during lunch time. Went there twice and didn't get to try it up till today! Ordered prata with eggs. Unlike some prata stores, the pratas made were not dry and hard. It's even better with a cup of hot Teh Tarik!
