a three-bowled set consisting of braised pork rice, chicken rice, and oyster mee sua. shared it with a friend and even though it was pretty filling, we wanted more!! 😍 love the old-school ambience of the place, complete with student desks, bags, and a classic chalkboard. definitely coming here again!!
suuuper filling and really really worth it. everything complements one another and the mustard gives it that little bit more zing. meant to be eaten messily (and shared! with a friend :D ). great location for a weekend brunch, would definitely come by again 😍
Super rich soup that was cooked for hours and hours. Just look at that colour. Best part is that they are open from 8.30am to 5am, perfect supper haunt (closed on Mon). Yup, they sell mixed pig's organs but i only eat the meatballs. Oops. Who else is like me? 🙋🏻

Not going to start on the many painfully corny yet pho-nny pho puns (haha maybe just a couple), Mrs Pho offers some pho-bulous pho - perhaps one of the best I have tried.
Greeted by the friendly Vietnamese servers, the interior was nothing like I expected with the concrete walls and simple metal furnishings as if you have step out into a quiet back alley. And just like the uncomplicated decor, my bowl of Special Beef Combination Noodle Soup ($9.90) was wholesome and comforting.
Though I can’t say much about the authenticity as I have not been to the country, pho me, the broth was delicate and on the lighter side yet held a good depth of flavour from the sweetness of the spices. My order also comes loaded with thin and tender beef slices, meatballs, brisket, as well as a small bowl of soup with a half cooked egg on the side. Mixing everything in, it was just a solid bowl of noodles that had great texture (nice and springy), generous ingredients, an addictive savoury soup base and priced affordable. Pho-nomenal.
*Note they take cash only, learnt that the hard way.
my friend and i got the MARINATED TOFU BIBIMBAP ($6.90) and the TERIYAKI CHICKEN BIBIMBAP ($8.50), as well as the DDEOKBOKKI ($4.90) for dinner and it was really good!
it felt really healthy HAHAHA as the bibimbap had loads of veggies and the taste was not compromised one bit!
the ricecakes were also really chewy and the sauce was amazing 😍 would definitely eat here again! :-)
I love how with the Burpple Tastemakers community, a sinful supper doesn't seem like much of a crazy idea at all even though we just had a tasting! Have been wanting to try this and now that I've did, the one word to describe it is SHIOK. I thought I was too full for a whole plate but nah, how do you resist a beautiful mess like this? Enjoyed the pork cutlet and ngoh hiang but I loved the thoroughly braised cabbage and magical concoction of curry + lor (braised sauce) drenched all over. Affordable, effortlessly tasty and so satisfying!
Located on the first floor of Orchard Gateway, this South Korean chain doles out glossy soft serve in fancy gold-rimmed wine glasses. The soft serve (there is only one flavour but that's all you really need) is then topped with different items, depending on the flavour (tiramisu, banana or berries) you opt for. Go for the crowd favourite Tiramisu ($6.90), which sees a pile of mascarpone cheese buried beneath a swirly mound of soft serve, loaded with cookie bits and coffee liquor. To finish it off, the dessert is then topped with another swirl of ice cream and a a generous dusting of cocoa powder. It's a refreshing sweet treat to reward yourself with after a tiring day of shopping. Just be warned, the soft serve's recipe has been tweaked to be less sweet and it melts more quickly in this weather, so don't take too long for pictures!
Avg Price: $10 per person
