This burger has a lovely cranberry butter spread under the top bun and a bed of melted mozzarella on the bottom bun--sandwiched in between is this gorgeous meat patty with bacon. Life is good๐
From the guys behind Penny University comes this cafe in Tampines West Community Club. It may only be a few weeks old, but the Muslim-owned establishment is already drawing crowds for its comforting fusion cafe fare and comfortable ambience โ perfect for group gatherings and family brunches. Begin with starters, many of which have a distinct Middle Eastern flair like the Charred Aubergines ($6.50). Smoky and garlicky, this comes with yoghurt, za'atar spices and pomegranate seeds. Move on to tasty and substantial Asian-inspired mains like Soft Shell Crab Burger ($13.50), Iga Bakar ($18, grilled beef ribs) and a stellar Salmon Fillet ($14), which comes with brown butter miso sauce, curried breadcrumbs and Israeli couscous. If space permits, dig into the Greek Yoghurt Panna Cotta ($8), or just sit back and sip on a cup of Jaffa Orange Mocha ($6).
Avg Price: $20 per person

This is a burger that will NOT DISAPPOINT. A perfectly medium cooked meaty goodness sandwiched with onions, tomatoes, and melting cheese. And oh... turkey bacon โค๏ธ 19.70 SGD
Ignoring the loud music in the restaurant at 7pm on a Saturday evening, I found myself pleasurably savouring the taste of this Mentaiko Soft Shell Crab Burger (S$20.90). The soft shell crab is fried to the point that the batter remains crisp between the buns and the seafood is juicy. The mentaiko sauce and the bonito flakes give it that extra savoury flavour while the charcoal bun is solid enough to balance the taste a little. Remind me next time to ask them to go easy on the salt for the fries.
Flavours were there especially the Apple coleslaw pairing with the pork - refreshing and flavourful.
Love the mix assortment of fries with potato, sweet potatoes and purple potato!
I really liked the crab and seafood patty! If you like their Assam crab waffle, get this! ๐ For girls who hate carbs, try their thick cut fries, you'll be addicted and you can say goodbye to your lame low carb diet plan that doesn't work! ๐
Thank you @nahmj and @chinesewinegal for the invite :)
I initially wanted to compare Montana's crab burger from their new menu to the ludicrously lovely crab burger at Artistry (yes, I have been forever spoiled in the best of ways by that crab burger), but I found out that it would be akin to me comparing a watermelon to an orange.
Montana's crab & seafood burger is infused with oriental spices and does, in fact, smell a lot like a very delicious otah. And it tastes the same too, albeit with a lot more meatiness from the actual crabmeat that's been crammed into the patty. It's sinfully savory and the complexity of the spices in the background keep the burger interesting throughout the party in your mouth. The crab & seafood patty held together well and had a delightful springiness to it.
The yuzu coleslaw padding the underside of the patty was one stellar slaw, being sufficiently tangy and refreshing to be the lively, crisp counterpart to the rich and savory patty. The fries on the side were absolutely on point, jut like the burger itself. It was thoroughly well seasoned with salt and paprika, and we simply couldn't stop ourselves from hoovering up these sensationally seasoned fried bars of gold.
Thank you @montanasingapore and @chinesewinegal for hosting, and to @veronicaphua for letting me tag along!
Last night's dinner situation at Builders at Sims! Look at the hulking piece of patty! ๐ช๐ช๐ช Although our first patty was a little too eager to meet us and came off the grill a bit raw, the very friendly staff gladly exchanged it for another one which came out just right. The burger was tasty, with a curiously springy quality that would remind you of a good sausage. (And those curly fries ๐) We were pretty happy with our meal at this young cafe! Looking forward to trying their beef and crab dishes next time since they were sold out when we visited yesterday ๐ฉ
Yes I could. The fat to meat ratio is perfect, each mouth promises melting fat and well seasoned meat; topped with mustard, cucumbers and a toasted bun.

If Keng Eng Kee Seafood's coffee pork ribs is love, then this Coffee Pork Burger at their Pandan Gardens outlet totally got my flow. Newly introduced as part of their Wok Hei Burger menu which features Marmite Chicken, Pai Gu Wang and well, Salted Egg Chicken/Pork Burgers (all of them at only $9 nett!), this sees a combination of their signature Coffee Pork Ribs in the form of a burger. Expect two light and fluffy buns with fresh lettuce, tomato and a boneless pork patty sandwiched in between; the pork patty prepared fresh every order and the same way that their Pork Ribs are made โ a lightly crisp exterior coated in their sticky, aromatic and mildly sweet coffee sauce; oh-so-good. I didn't come expecting much from the fries, but they were decently seasoned with ample salt for flavour. Chili sauce comes at the side as a dip for the fries, but if you are as big a fan of Keng Eng Kee's coffee sauce you would end up dipping all of them in the remnants of the sauce that dripped out of the burger. I might be biased on this one for my pure love for their Coffee Pork Ribs, but I think I found THE burger that I need.
Located across from Vatos Urban Tacos in South Beach Quarter, The Armoury Gastrobar is decked with rustic brick walls and boasts a laidback vibe with its alfresco seats. There's Craft Beer on tap from 5-9pm (from $15), making it a great place to unwind with your colleagues if you work in the area. Their Spicy Bacon Avocado Burger ($20) has yet to get much attention, but it really should โ it's saucy, tasty and downright satisfying. Slathered with sriracha mayo and topped with crispy tangles of bacon and creamy avocado, this juicy 180g homemade beef patty burger will not disappoint. The equally popular Armoury Burger ($20) features the same lightly charred patty, only this time it is topped with melty gorgonzola cheese, horseradish garlic aioli (so yummy), silky caramelised onions and arugula. For sides, opt for either the Mac and Cheese ($5) or the addictively good Duck Fat Fries ($5).
