Not the easiest to find, since not all are kind
Some will lie, and turn me blind
Mess with my mind, and give me binds
The death note I sign, often had me confined.
.
But I am glad to find, people who are kind
On my side they lie, keep me from being blind
Give me an ease of mind, into my life they bind
The friendship I sign, break boundaries and confines.

I had the Chirashi Bento for just S$35 which is truly value for money for this generous portion. It comes with assorted raw fish topped on seasoned rice in lunch box, side dish, grilled mackerel, deep fried prawns, grilled chicken with sweet sauce, steamed egg and miso soup. This Chirashi Don is of such premium quality that I felt it was well worth the price!
Just thinking about this makes my mouth water. The simple, tomato-based sauce really shone. It was flavourful, perfectly herbed and had just the right tartness. The minced lamb was well-seasoned, still oozing meat juices, and had none of that sandy mouthfeel that some minces do. The smooth pliant sheets of papardelle were the perfect vessel for slurping up every last morsel.

Thin crust pizza lovers! Alt pizza signature its crispy but still retains a tad chewy texture. Best of all they actually oven, bake it on the spot! Talking about freshness ! Truffle lovers do look out for their Truffle Shuffle! The aroma of the truffle already got me worked up! The pizza was savoury, as it started to cool down it become sweeter and soon it was all gone.

I was famished, so I ordered some sides while waiting for the pizza. The calamari was pretty good, it was easy to chew and with the creamy chipotle lime aioli dip it gives of a tangy taste wanting you to eat more but it was slightly too oily. I am loser for fries, what's more they added bacon! I just hope they could give more sauce !

The ingredients are the star at Ramen Keisuke Lobster King!
The restaurant is known for operating through the night to the wee hours of the morning, 6pm to 5am. It is more popularly known for the rich lobster broth for the noodles, which is made by boiling lobster meat and select vegetable and herbs. I had the Special Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen but I would recommend the normal broth ramen without the miso or spices so you can enjoy the incorrupt taste of lobster.
What was especially great weren't the noodles but the chicken and pork char siew, the flavoured egg and the prawn dumplings. They boasted rich flavours and an assortment of textures to make this bowl, a wonderful wholesome dish.
A quick check at Burpple and you'll see that almost every Burppler who has been to Sumiya reviewed it's Chirashidon set ($20) that comes with pickles, chawanmushi, salad, soup, mochi and the highly rated Chirashidon. With fishes so chunky and fresh, I enjoyed every spoonful of fish cubes! Best part, the mountain of chirashi is sizable and I felt very very satisfied after the meal.
The refurbished Kazu Sumiyaki in Cuppage Plaza recently relinquished its old, homey ambience for a modernised vibe, but that's not stopping the regular crowd of Japanese salarymen from frequenting. Thankfully, the excellent menu remains the same. Come for the Foie Gras ($7) and the Tontoro Ringo ($4.50) skewers. The latter is fatty pork jaw skewered with apple chunks for an extra burst of sweetness. Thanks to the charcoal grill, all the skewers here are redolent with smokiness. Another skewer to try is the Hotate Kai ($6), three fresh, plump scallops lightly grilled. Don't leave without trying the Okonomiyaki ($3), their unique take marries Osaka's famed okonomiyaki and takoyaki. End on a sweet note with the Yaki Awayuki ($10) — chewy mochi wrapped around a ball of ice cream, which is then barbecued and topped with a cluster of spun sugar. Reservations are highly recommended.
Avg price: $55 per person with drinks
