Every component was bold, intense, and literally fights for your attention. Crisp fried chicken, well-seasoned and super tasty; chilli sauce that’s tangy, spicy, and sweet at once; and an apple coleslaw that’s crunchy, creamy, and aggressively sweetened. It’s an absolute fireworks of flavours and textures, or a war zone depending on how you see it, and it’s unabashedly my favourite dish from their brunch menu.

New post up on the blog after months of silence! Head over to read more on my experience at Fat Lulu's 😉 http://www.chocolat-et-basil.com/single-post/2016/11/04/Fat-Lulu%E2%80%99s-Redefining-brunch
Very frankly the only dish on their menu I found mildly acceptable. Thin, blini-like pancakes were soft and fairly fluffy, much like cutesy McD's ones (making me wonder if it's straight outta a premix bottle), and pretty tasty too. Chicken kaarage was super crispy, juicy and tasty, commendable for how unapologetically fatty it was. The burnt orange though I didn't get: it fit it nowhere and really disrupted the overall flavours of the dish. That, and the $16.90 pricetag for a dish that ain't filling at all, means I'd prolly not have this again decent as it may taste.
