Soft and fluffy, with crispy charred bits, and extremely thin; you could eat more of the pizza without being filled up by the crust. The best part about this is that I taste both the truffle and the cheese without being overwhelmed by the fumes of truffle oil from the next table or mine. I abhor the stench of truffle oil but I had to give this a go, given that it's a signature dish. I am glad it did not disappoint. Setting my tongue on a slow numbing journey, Birds Of A Feather, a contemporary Sichuan all-day dining spot definitely serves up an intriguing menu and with a beautiful space to boot.
Not one to handle spice, I was pleasantly surprised that the offerings were not as spicy as initially thought but still carrying the distinctive tingly numbness caused by Sichuan peppers. With a nice play of flavours, you should definitely try the Oriental Bolognaise ($20). Topped with pork ragout, an onsen tamago, wilted kale and sakura ebi, do give it all a good toss with the al dente angel hair pasta and coat the strands with luscious yolk. You can also opt for a spicy version with a $2 top-up (and of course, Zhi Hui went for that). The combination laced with spice, did give it a good kick and went well with the savoury bits of meat as well as fragrant ebi.
this! the kalua pork and cabbage stew was slow roasted till one stop before disintegration and it decided to form a symbiotic fusion and formed an alter ego.

Heard that Truffle dishes are here for two more weeks before we bid addio. Capellini is cold thin-strand pasta tossed with scallop, Greenland shrimp (cold water prawn), roe, shrimp powder and of course, Autumn truffle slices. Truffle taste might not be as strong as other dishes but love the combination.

We've all had our fair share of omelettes and it's fair to say its never really exciting. But this in particular surprised me.
It was bursting with flavor and ingredients, reminiscent of chicken broth egg soup. Loved it!

The shellfishes are cooked in a spicy white wine clear broth with herbs, garlic, onions & chilli. It is best to enjoy the broth by dunking the focaccia toast into it to soak up the beautiful flavour.

The hae bee hiam, while seductively fragranced and giving the pasta additional shrimpy bite, may have been too self-conscious about plying too much salt on itself and being gossiped about as being a salty minx. Elsewhere, the crispy soft shell crab had a KFC-esque ruthlessly efficient pleasure provision efficiency. Very promising. 3.7/5

Had this for brunch at Cafe NIDO within Hotel Yan at Tyrwhitt Road and thought this was rather decent. No doubt something one can prepare at home (and tasted creepily similar to what I would have whipped out anyway), but this sure does work for a comforting brunch away from home for the hotel guests staying there. Ideally the toast used could be less dense; perhaps something other than the Ciabatta can be used, but it still is crisp without picking too much into the nitty gritty bits. The mix of mushroom used are King Oyster Mushrooms, Shiitake and Button Mushrooms, all earthy and creamy while topped off with melted and stringy mix of Gruyere and Mozzarella cheese. The baby potatoes are sautรฉed with mixed herbs for a nice hint of flavour without going overly salty (that's how I do my potatoes too) and the vine tomatoes burst its zesty juiciness when you bite onto them. Not something mind-blowing, but I really enjoyed the homeliness and how comforting it was. The owners here seem to place an emphasis on using fresh ingredients and insist on doing most things from scratch themselves, which is something I find pretty commendable.
I may have to ask for the full size (SGD 25+) next time. But can I ๅ ๆไธๅ ้ข (add on ingredients only and not the pasta)?

The sauce was as they described, spicy (very very spicy) and tangy! But what brought the sauce to new level was the smooth and perfectly cooked slightly runny egg whites. Pasta was al dente as it should be. A really awesome plate of chilli crab pasta for spicy lovers. Fans of the sweeter version of chilli crab sauce may not like this though.
