Managed to order 4 of their matcha pastries and cakes from keong saik bakery. Didn't expect to find good matcha pastries and desserts in Singapore and keong saik bakery surprised me! The cruffin and swiss roll tops my list of what to try! Especially the cruffin which oozes out matcha lava when you toast and heat it up for a bit before eating!

This would be perfect if they could tone down the sourness from the lime curd just a little, as we found it to be slightly overpowering the intense matcha. Still awesome 💚 (Swipe to see inside!)

A worthy go-to treat for any chocoholic! Expect a super rich, fudgy and chocolate-y cake swimming in even more dark chocolate sauce + a scoop of vanilla ice cream 🍫🍫🍫

Jumping on the zang zang bao bandwagon with this chocolate dirty cake from Keong Saik Bakery. Not sure what makes this dirty cake different from a normal chocolate sponge cake, but not complaining cause I loved the fluffy sponge and the rich chocolate ganache filling

Both were SO GOOD i cant pick a favourite. One is refreshingly light & fluffy with a generous serving of crunchy rockmelon. The other, a mishmash of interesting flavours & textures; butterfly pea flower-coloured glutinous rice with a mousse-like top that tasted like pandan(?) but had a slight savoury taste too.

I would say they complement each other. I just kept going back and forth between the two and the plates were wiped out within minutes 😄

The chendol cake incorporates the gula melaka, coconut and panda jelly with a slight sour mirror glaze. The sor hei is a black and white danish pastry with chocolate chips and resembles the several layers within a crossaint. Definitely a good place for tourists to savour the singaporean flavour in internationally recognised bakes.

Enjoy brownies with macadamia and vanilla ice-cream for $5.90 ($5.50 if you pay the 4-hour combo) while playing some card/board games!

Hvala, ooh na-na...half of my heart is in THIS GOMA CAKE!!! Words simply can’t describe the raw richness that this simple slice exudes, but I’ll try my best! Think moist, spongy layers of chiffon sandwiching a cream filling that is all at once earthy and nutty, rounded off by a gritty texture made possible only by the inclusion of real black sesame seeds. The layering creates a harmony that grants each bite adequate richness that - at the same time - does not overwhelm. In contrast, their 1925 cold brew is a light and slightly bitter tea with lilting floral notes that linger on your tongue - when ordered in tandem with the former, the set is undeniably a killer combination, embodying the essence of an exquisite afternoon tea!😚
P.S.: 1925 cold brew price may be wrong, no hatin’ on my poor memory pls💖

The picture does do justice. Taste as good as it looks. But my ATF is still chendol!

From The Batter Affair, a new cafe at Scape that serves cakes and tarts alongside coffee, tea and other beverages

Triple Choc Coma was actually pretty good for a cake that costs only $5.80; it's rich, chocolatey and decadent but from the shiny ganache all the way down to the chocolate sponge sitting below — in between, its layered with white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse; the former provides a little sweetness to the latter that ends off with an adequate bittersweet finish without an overwhelming and nasty aftertaste. Quite impressed that they managed to get the mousse consistencies pretty balanced here; it's all velvety smooth and consistently so all the way through all the layers. Also quite surprised that the crispy bits on top were still crisp too! A definite hit with chocolate lovers out there!

Essentially tantalisingly bitter espresso ice slabs with surprising sharply salted cores having a bit of a lie down on a cream-topped, crumble-crusted wet coffee sponge bed. 3.9/5

This galaxy cake boasted chocolate sponge and marbling chocolate mousse, infused with Cointreau orange curd. Therefore, you get a surprising tangy twist mixed with the usual sweetness of chocolate cakes. The mousse was light and simply melts in your mouth.
