If you're not, please begin with the Sop Buntut (oxtail soup, RM17). If you’re coming by with your family or friends, share the hearty Bali Trio (RM49) to enjoy BBQ Wings, Sate Lilit, and Cumi-Cumi Goreng (fried squid)! The feast isn't over till you've order a Lemongrass Mojito (RM13) mocktail for a tasty, refreshing Balinese finish!
Ploy (Publika branch only) is perfect for big groups who would like to try a wide variety of food, or if the group simply can't decide where to eat. Take a whack at their Torched Sunrise Tuna (RM38.50) as a shared starter — lovely seared tuna served with sushi rice. For mains, don’t skip out on their Linguini Mentaiko (RM24.50) for a Japanese twist, or Ploy’s Black Fried Rice (RM30.50) complete with squid ink and a fancy raw egg yolk for you to stir in. Hopefully your friends are durian lovers because their Durian Panna Cotta (RM12.50) is not a dessert to miss out on! Alternatively, you can go for the Cracked Coconut (RM21) for a visually appealing, refreshing dessert. Complete your meal with an order of yee sang (RM118 or RM168) for a Ploy-sperous New Year!
Free flow Japanese food — basically a playground for hungry adults at just RM59.90++ (RM44++ for senior citizens, RM13-59.90++ for children)! Mitasu has plenty to offer from salmon sashimi to tempura, soba noodles, mini donburis and ice cream flavours like green tea and black sesame! Want to add a little CNY festivity into your feast? Add a yee sang (RM48.80 for regular; RM88.80 for large) and toss your way into a prosperous new year. Reservations are a MUST, so call to make your booking before going over to avoid disappointment!

For just RM49.90++ per person at dinner (or RM39.90++ for lunch), you won't have to feel shy ordering plate after plate of pork belly and beef ribeye to grill to perfection. Analog Cafe is nestled in SS17 Subang Jaya, just off the Persiaran Tujuan before entering the USJ area. This is a lovely spot to get your caffeine fix at tea time, be it a regular cup of espresso-based coffee, or a filtered coffee (RM15) recommended by the baristas. Hungry? Grab their Cheese Toastie (RM10), basically an awesome grilled cheese sandwich, for a light, satisfying bite.
If you’re missing that hot, comforting bowl of pho, or snacking on a light banh mi in Vietnam, relive those precious memory at Pho Vietz. Check out the banh mi (RM10.50) for an easy meal, or dig into a bowl of belly-warming Beef Pho (RM17.90) instead. If you love spice, opt instead for their Hue Style Spicy Beef Noodles (RM17.90)! On regular weekdays, be prepared to wait as they are normally packed at peak lunch and dinner hours. Grab a tower (RM120-140) or simply order a red or white wine (RM19-25) by the glass to sip on. Nibble on their Chicken 65 (RM15) — boneless chicken pieces flavoured with tasty tandoori spices. Yee Sang is available for RM68 for 4-6 people (dine-in or takeaway) for you and your mates if you’re feeling the Chinese New Year mood! Reservations are encouraged.
Damansara Uptown won't be a complete ghost town this Chinese New Year with MACE by Coffee Chemistry staying open for you! This light-filled space is good for groups to dine together, making for a great lunch option. MACE serves a good mix of local and Western cuisine like Grilled Chicken & Watermelon Lychee Salad (RM18) to start, Smoked Salmon Tortilla Wrap (RM21) for a light dish and a variety of pastas (RM16-26) for something more substatial. As for drinks, this is one of the few places where you can get 3D art on a cappuccino or green tea latte (RM16.50)!
