Always nice to end dinner with a good balance of sweetness and tartness.
A local twist on the traditional shepherd's pie involves braised rendang veal cheek that our Peranakan roots nod to, baked with potato mash.
The veal cheek was tender and beautifully marinated, its sweet flavors soaring above the creamy mash – very well balanced indeed.
We have to say, Luxe Catering is probably one of the better caterers we've come across.
Really enjoyed this fresh halibut crusted with herbs completed with summer greens. Sadly, the saltiness of the bonito essence was a tad too overwhelming. Would've been lovely had it been a little less robust.
So glad Ruinart is the official champagne for this year's Diner en Blanc!
At tonight's media preview of Diner En Blanc by Luxe Catering. The Istana menu starts with this lovely wild rice salad with a mild salted egg mayo dressing that's enticing and refreshing. An impeccable start to the evening!
