So in love with the ambience!!! Rustic wall paperings, comfy couches, lots of natural sunlight, birds-eye view of bustling orchard road, ambience was simply close to perfect. (: Same to say for the food too! Underdog Sweet Morning ($18) still lived up to its name as being one of their sweet specialities; texture of French toast was good, and what really made this meal happen for me was the mango stuffing in the French toast - very very nice and original touch! Norwegian ($26) was a huge enjoyment as well, ingredients were fresh and flavourful. Service was efficient too with their electronic seating system - we were lucky enough to get the best seats in the house! Be prepared for a 5 minute wait though, but the food, the ambience, the experience will be completely worth it.

Finally here! Am glad I came. The thick and fluffy French toast is really good. Next time I will order an extra pork sausage to go with it!! Love it!! Happy tummy!! Totally worth the calories!! šŸ‘šŸ¼

At $19, this beautiful piece of food is not only instagram-worthy, but also has a huge portion and is so delicious I enjoyed every bite of it. (imo, it's better than paddy hill's version of hotcake) though both might have the same crispy edges, but this one is softer and has a less poundcake-like texture. Somewhere in the middle of a pancake and a pound cake? Furthermore, it has vanilla bean ice cream instead of cheese over @ paddy hill's, though I wish they could be more generous with the ice cream to go with the huge hotcake. But overall, really really love this berries ricotta hotcake! 4.30/5.0

Topped with bananas, ricotta cheese, honey and crushed pistachios, The Bravery has one of the best pancakes in Singapore

Essentially the oral equivalent of a warm smother by Aphroditeā€™s bosom. 4/5

PS Available only from Tuesdays to Fridays before noon.

Rosti is a little heavy in taste overloaded with a little too much savory salt and a little burnt taste but thanks to the lighter tasting avocado and sunny side up that balances out the overall taste accompanied with subtle taste of truffle that completes the meal.

Just next door to Taratata, this quaint coffee shop was formerly located at the present Potato Head Folk. Living up to the hype, the french toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, with a generous amount of butter slathered on top. The kaya reminded me of the one my mom makes at home :) The teh c was thick and full of flavour, the way I like it. Will be back for more. I heard they have zichar at night too.

[Keong Siak] Amidst all the hustling and bustling, we tend to overlook the simpler things in life. Why not take a break from the rat race of chasing new cafes that serves different eggs benedict dishes, artisanal coffee or funky toasts and appreciate the original, authentic Singaporean breakfast/brunch of kopi-png, kaya toast and soft boiled eggs? One place that does that impeccably has definitely got to be Tong Ah Eating House, which has been feeding people since many years ago. I look forward to my next trip to Tong Ah and I will most probably be still ordering the same items again.

4 munchies: Start your week right with one of the combo sets that comes with two large runny soft-boiled eggs ā€“ my picks are the kopi-o with a slice of butter and French toast. I'll definitely return for this as well as to try the zi char dishes. Thank you, @juliuslim, for the awesome recommendation!

Ordered their Set of Thin Toast, comes with 2 rather gigantic eggs (really big yolks) and my bulletproof coffee šŸ˜
Fellow #burppletastemaker @juliuslim introduced how they retained their traditional way of scraping "chao ta" sides of the bread with the condensed milk sharp lid, creating these perfectly toasted bread with eggy custardy kaya and some sinful butter!
