This bowl of comfort was found in the Silom Road, Bangkok. Opened by a Chinese who moved from China decades ago. The soup might looked clear but it was the tastiest one I had. The owner used big pork bones and dried fish, brewed for hours to create this clean soup. Don't give it a miss.

One of the best secret hide out at Bangkok. In the past, many Chinese exported dried goods, like dried shark fin and bird net, and end up staying there. .
|
The owner of this stall was migrated to Bangkok almost 40years ago and she also bought over her special steamboat. .
|
Different parts of the beef were stewed for different period of time in the sweet herb-y broth. Assembled in the charcoal fired steamboat. It seem very illogic to eat such hot dish under the sunny weather in Bangkok. But once it served, it's smell alone was able to make me drool. The more I perspires the more I can't stop eating. The Cantonese style stewed beef and Thai style Chilli created such unforgettable memory. .

Hiding in between of two buildings, rundown stall and the auntie might be giving out a "tigress" vive but that place served one of the best Thai Suki EVER! .
|
She stir fried the glass noodle under super heated wok (by charcoal) with tom yum paste and large amount of chilli padi. After the glass noodle was infused with the broth, she threw in the seafood and finished with evaporated milk. .
|
Her method was similar to the way we cooked XO fish head but ten times hotter. The milk countered the spiciness and the sweetness from the seafood wasn't overpowered by the chilli.
At the side, there was minced chilli and ginger purée for those with more adventurous taste bud. Under the insanely humid and hot weather of Thailand, this bowl of Suki created such comfort for my tummy. .

Another super rare dish - known as The Meat Salad Curry. Some might said how can a dish be salad and curry at the same time. .
|
The light pink beef got cooked in the soury lime juice like the Ceviche and heavily seasoned with chilli padi. Extra topping of finely sliced lemongrass added another layer of aroma. The taste was so unique and addictive. .

As compared to Roast and Once of Onion, I prefer this. Totally Instagram-able cafe with very decent food. Usually the flat bread I had was just a little piece not bigger than one A4 size paper. BUT this place served it in a A3 size TRAY! .

3 layers of my favorite stuffs - hash brown(crispy), honey ham(savory) and beef patty(meaty). .
|
The bun was lightly toasted and able to soak up the juicy patty. Greasy and savory, best to wash it down with a beer. .

This humble little coffee house served one of the best long black I ever taste. I am no coffee expert but this was my cup of coffee.
The owner was friendly and kept his cafe really simple with only one concept - served the best coffee.
Sweet fruity with a slight berry-like sourness. The finishing was smooth and didnt have the caffeine stench.

I ordered their signature lunch set (1500THB). Sounded expensive but to dine in one of the top 50 Asian Restuarant. Worth it! .
