This Bryani from Bismillah was awarded Bib Gourmand twice in a row and it's no wonder. The rice is super aromatic , despite being cooked without the use of ghee!! I loved how the rice was dry but not too hard and went perfectly with the yogurt on the side. Even after throwing spoonfuls of yogurt in, we found ourselves breathing fire - testament to the amount of spice used in this ordinary looking dish.

Rang Mahal is almost the best Indian buffet there is in Singapore. It was highly recommended to me by my Yoga Teacher (who is an Indian national) and he even said that this was the place he would treat himself to on his birthday!!!

The spread is small, but each dish packs a little surprise. The tandoori salmon and prawn tikka were among my favourite at the table. The masala Dosa and puni puri at the live stations should not be missed too!!! Dessert wise, it was a healthy mix of Indian and western dessert. My favourite there was the Coconut ice cream and I even took 2 servings of it to close my buffet!!!

The spread though, was a little small. At $58++, there was only one line of savouries and one line of sweets. They do come out to serve other dishes from time to time, so do keep a lookout for those.

I went to google what Pudi meant and... I really didn't like the answer. It was only when I read the reviews here that I realized it means powder. Phew.

The Pudi Masala Dosa ($6.50) is sprinkled with turmeric powder and that makes it very flavorful. The fatter (soft on the inside, crispy on the outside) yet flatter (open faced) cousin, this one is more filling, I guess more suitable for those with a bigger appetite (:

Finally tried the mother of all Dosa at MTR, I finally understood why the Masala Dosa ($6) here is touted as the best in Singapore.

Perfectly browned and crispy, the Dosa has a nice bite to it, just like a thin biscuit. Filling it is a spoonful of curried potato that has fully soaked up the sauce it is cooked in.

The Dosa comes with a curry sauce and a coriander (?) chutney. My preference is for the latter and I could lick the whole saucer dry.

Also, two thumbs up for the service and cleanliness here. The waiter was nice enough to offer me a fork when he realized that I wasn't going to eat with my hands. Also, the cleaner here would wipe down every table properly with a sanitizing liquid. It is really clean and comfortable for such a bustling place!

You know the thing about cravings is that they lead you to all places. This one for Dosa led me to the Banana Leaf restaurant at circular road. Seemingly popular, I went in to order their Egg Masala Dosa ($3.50) which was huge. Their Dosa was more filling as it had more potato filling inside ๐Ÿ˜‚. But it was too much for me. Their Dosa comes with basic curry and yogurt. I guess I would have liked an assortment of sauces to go with it. It's 24 hours though, and I definitely wouldn't mind one Dosa at 4am in the morning.

Oh you pretty Bryani, served with fried chicken, potatoes, beans and a papadum โคโคโค. This $7.90 portion was so food coma inducing, but it is definitely worth it. Plentiful ingredients to accompany the rice portion, which was way too much for me to finish. I loved how the crispy chicken didn't seem too oily, and how the beans are soft, mushy and soaked in curry. Next time, I'll prolly share this portion.

Fridays call for some carbs-heavy, rich Indian food. This Chicken Bryani ($7) just the perfect fit. 2 papadum, 1 egg, 1 chicken thigh, a creamy scoop of yogurt and a mountain of basmati rice. The serving was so generous, I only managed to finish half the portion for lunch and was well on my way to a food coma ๐Ÿ˜ต Coming back for sure!

A day with 9-5 meeting calls for delivery, for the long hours can really make you tired. Best part about food delivery with Deliveroo is the constant notifications to inform you of the status your delivery. They even inform you when the delivery man is nearby, which gives you enough time to excuse yourself and prepare the money! This afternoon's chicken tikka with Muthu's curry is comforting good spiced Indian food (: #burppleROO

Tonight with Copper Chimney was such a delight. Every dish served was outstanding - the layers of spices, smokiness of the meats and the thick consistency of the gravy. Even the naans were the BEST I've had. It was baked till almost crispy, you can literally hear the bread break as you tear it apart. Highly recommend for you to order a portion for yourself because, trust me, you wouldn't want to share the naan with anyone else.

This fish certainly didn't die in vain. The fish tikka here was the milder of dishes we had, with just the right amount of spices to have us going back for more spoonfuls. The fish chunk were huge (see picture for proof) and that gave the meat enough bite for a satisfying eat. This is best paired with naan. And my preferred choice of naan is the garlic one!

Mutton roganjosh, a staple of Kashmiri cuisine, made with braised lamb chunks cooked in a gravy with garlic, onions and a handful of aromatic spices. Loved the flavour burst with every mouthful, the tender mutton with no smell (yay!) and the plentiful sauce to dip my naan in. One thing though, it was a little on the salty side, so word of advice, go easy on the yummy sauce.
