Was looking around MBS for a healthy dinner option, and decided on Da Paoloâs Green & Grains bowl. This smaller-sized Balanced Bowl comes with 2 grains and bases, 1 protein, 2 vegetables and 1 dollop. A little pricey, but it was yum and came in a filling portion. Would recommend the roasted sweet potatoes especially!
Throwing together a super simple salad for dinner today, with all these fresh vegetable salad boxes that Just Produce sent over to share! Thereâs the classic mesclun (with lettuces, rainbow chard), sorrel, ice plant and mustard. Favorites were the ice plant - crunchy with this tinge of saltiness (these were grown with Himalayan pink salt), and the mustard leaves that were very crunchy with a surprisingly intense and punchy wasabi-like flavour.

With the natural flavours each vegetable has, you just need a very simple and light dressing to tie them all together. Their veggies are all grown without pesticides, preservatives or genetic modification. Available both online and in-stores, more details over on their IG. Second time trying Wafuken - the first time we took away from their Tanjong Pagar outlet. We went with one of the pre-made sets, the Duck Breast Set - half portion of sous vide duck, beetroot quinoa, ramen egg and wafu salad. Similar to in Tanjong Pagar, there is also the option for you to customise your bowl.
Disappointed that the portion was quite small for its price. We were sharing our orders in a group, but Iâd think it wonât fill me up if I was having it alone. Taste wise though, the standardâs as good as we remembered. The bowl in general was tasty and not overly seasoned. Especially enjoyed the duck that was very tender, though it would be nice if it had a bit more of a crisp crust.
Wafuken is one of the brands that you can order from when here at Central Food Court!
Always enjoy having Stuffâd! I usually stick to my standard combination but was eyeing to try more of their seasonal specials. Went with the truffle egg mayo, herbed cauliflower rice and sesame soya sprouts. Some other seasonals available were the dry laksa pasta, tabbouleh salad and black fungus celery. As usual, find the Stuffâd selection pretty good. Was quite surprised by the truffle egg mayo that came in a huge portion. It was creamy and the truffle touch was really not bad! Would skip the sesame soya sprouts as they were a bit bland.
1 of the 5 rice bowls on Bread Yardâs menu - Norwegian Salmon Bowl that came with a bed of brown rice, creamy smashed avocado, broccoli, pramesan, garlic bread stick, cherry tomatoes, baked salmon and a side dip of basil pesto. This was our way of making our brunch a tad bit healthier amongst the cruffins and french toast đ Was a decent healthy bowl, though the garlic bread stick wasnât as crunchy as we thought it would be and didnât seem to go with the dish as a whole. Salmon was tender. Had this 1 for 1 with Burpple Beyond, and theyâve changed the deal to 20% off mains now.
The Victual Affairâs hand-made granola is made without sugar, artificial flavourings/preservatives - coming in natural & chocolate (my pick) for now. They have also partnered with SPD Singapore, where parts of their profits will be set aside to support people with special needs.

Tracyâs Special Udon has udon in a mushroom broth topped with mock meat, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and broccoli! Might seem a bit pricey, but their thick broth is made generously with lots of mushrooms. Think I expected it to be more savoury but it had a nice tang of which I think are from tomatoes. It was well balanced and kept the overall bowl easy to have without being jelak. Portion was filling!
They are open till evening but when we were there for late lunch around 3ish, most dishes were already sold out - wanted to try their Lei Cha too but thatâs only available on the 1st and 15th days of the lunar month. Probably good to pop by earlier if you want to catch more items!
Only ever had thunder tea rice once many many years back. It was so long ago that I donât even remember liking it or not đ That changed recently after trying out Living Wholesomeâs! Love theirs - itâs a bit pricier, but it comes default with brown rice and a full variety of vegetarian toppings (chye poh, beancurd, wing beans, long beans, etc.). Itâs fragrant, clean and not at all oily. You can top up a dollar to upgrade to a bigger portion, but the defaultâs already very substantial. Thereâs also bee hoon as an alternative.
They offer delivery now as well, with free deliveries within 1km or up to $9 islandwide, without minimum orders.
Went for their seasonal mentai mayo salmon, all 7 colors and furikake + tobiko as garnish with lemon herb quinoa as the base. Toppings and salmon were fresh, though the mentai mayo sauce wasnât the most distinct - the only other flavour Iâve tried is their shoyu salmon and I prefer that more. Itâs a healthy and tasty bowl that came in a surprisingly filling portion!
This wasnât as spicy as the name sounded, but was a fresh and refreshing bowl. There were chunks of salmon, avocado, pineapples, tempura crisps and smoked almonds - a good variety of textures that made it fun to have!
Got the mild grilled chicken with the burrito. We liked it much more than the pan seared barramundi (+$1) as it was better seasoned!
Picked the pan seared barramundi (+$1) for our burrito bowl. The base had rice, black beans and salsa, while the cilantro, onions and sauces were available free flow at their self-service counter. Got to say I loved the free flow cilantro, but the portion felt a bit small for the price and we would have appreciated more fresh veg. Base was tasty, but the barramundi was a touch dry. We definitely liked the grilled chicken more for it was better seasoned.
