Cafe Crawl
It was painful as I imagined it, but I did it without whining. I deserve a pat on the back and a double shot piccolo.
Kith Breakfast (choice of toast and eggs), truffle fries (skip- was not even warm nor truffle-y), granchio pasta (like chilli crab sauce - nice).
Our answer to lack of IHOP in Singapore. Interesting concept to serve pancakes from different culinary traditions such as crepes and Dutch Babies. Savoury and sweet pancakes available, Halal joint so that’s great too. Pancakes are generally fluffy and filling; risk of over-ordering but that’s a new normal these days.
Roasted vegetables and mozzarella baguette ($8.50); simple meatless pleasure
Expect to find variety of artfully made baked goods and bread at reasonable price. However seats at this cafe is formidably uncomfortable. Think twice if you intend to spend more than an hour here.
Plentyfull brunch platter for the ravenous, with sausage patties, bacon, sourdough, marinated tomatoes and thick cut potato fries which are so addictive.
The ragu had a meaty stench from poor seasoning? Not recommended.
The wobbly egg caught the internet by storm, leading me to believe plopping a wobbly egg on anything will make it an instant hit, and then you can forgo marinade and seasoning because the bowl tasted bland. The sauce on the lotus root chips are too salty and strong. Overall a barely passable bowl.
#readingbinge: Poor Man's Feast by Elissa Altman. An apt accompaniment to my one lone sad scallion cheese scone and earl grey tea.
