Lunch @ Raffles Place
Lunch treat for $7.50 with generous amount of noodles, pork belly and wanton is definitely worth the queue! The soup was free flow in a flask! Eating Wanton Mee in a bar is a whole new experience.
I prefer the Singapore version to the one in Taiwan anytime! They serve quite nice Taiwan Street food!
Ramen on discount today! $6 instead of $10! The soup is a bit salty although I could taste that they used pork bones to boil the soup which is a plus point! Noodles texture is okay. Egg wasn't the kind of eggs that I like for ramen but overall not bad. Would be better if they could also reduce the price on normal days.
I highly recommend this Fish Soup! In my opinion, the best Fish Soup that I have ever tasted. Freshly prepared everyday, the thick slices of Batang Fish goes well with the fish bones boiled soup, well complimented by either the Thick Bee Hoon or Rice. Queue starts from 11am, so go there early! This is one of the hawker affair that I can and won't mind queuing for up to 30 minutes during lunch hour!
