Best of Sydney
The infamous bun that launched a thousand copycats - $15. Who knew a simple Taiwanese street snack of steamed bun, pork belly, sliver of cucumber and hoisin sauce would become such a star? Skip the degustation menu (and the crazy reservation system) and go snack on these at the bar with a whisky on the rocks - walk ins only!
Spanish steak tartare - $20. Air cured wagyu beef with a fluffy layer of truffle oiled foam and a perfectly wobbly poached egg.
Ceviche of the day - $12. Fresh juicy scallops marinated in citrus with pomegranate seeds and fried onion served on a crunchy tostada.
Cream filled donuts, pretzel ice cream, banana topped with salted chocolate fudge and maraschino cherries -$18. The ultimate in dude food desserts.
How can a meal so simple be this good? - $7 Must be the family secret recipe for the magic garlic sauce that goes so well with the juicy slow roasted chicken and pickled veggies.
Perfectly crispy and golden polenta fries slathered in creamy Gorgonzola sauce served with wilted spinach and mushrooms - $9. Melt in your mouth goodness....
Hangover food of choice in the city - $12. Beef pho with a rich salty broth, tender beef, silky flat noodles, lashings of sriracha sauce, squeeze of lemon juice and heaped with fresh Vietnamese mint, beansprout and scallions.
Pandan and coconut. Poached figs in marsala. Salted caramel with white chocolate. Apple pie. Chocolate and hazelnut. Pistachio. Yoghurt and berry. Blood orange and a bunch of others - $5. The undisputed king of Sydney gelatos, do not expect to walk out empty handed.
Breakfast of champions: fresh sourdough, crunchy radish and seasonal fruits locally sourced, cheddar cheese, ham, pickled onions and relish- $18. Loving their daily pickle selection which changes based on what they've made inhouse!
Toothfish (more delicious than it sounds!) with miso eggplant and pine nuts - $49. Delicate white flakey fish balanced well with the sticky salty eggplant is perfect with an Australian Chardonnay and gossip with an old friend from out of town. My favourite restaurant in Sydney, hands down.
