Kuala Lumpur Noms
Decided to try something different rather than the typical chilli Pan mee. Got the da pu noodles which was noodles with baked pork + minced pork. Added a heap of chilli ( as seen in photo) that did not come with the noodles. After all the noodles looks boring and innocent right?

10 mins later I was tearing. Unknown to me was the chilli oil below. I must say it’s quite shiok, though the flavour doesn’t match up to kin kin IMO...
The simplest breakfast that beats them all. Crispy toast and most fragrant and smooth tea (or coffee I can’t tell) 😋
If you ever stumble into the small sleepy town of Rawang in the northeast part of KL.. you got to trust the grab driver when he tells you this is the best mamak in town.

This Thai style fried rice is decently good. Well fried without being overly oily. Fried flavourful fish.
.
.
Washed it all down w an iced cold drink!
When all you want is some local comfort in the midst of Korean and Japanese food in Mont Kiara. Thin crisp thosai with a good mix of curry, Dahl and yoghurt sauces or an egg canai with different curries. 😋
They definitely win hands down with that fried chicken and crispy bits. But rice wise I feel like I could be more flavorful?

Nevertheless, wash it down with a nice cold neslo and kueh at the counter after lunch. RM 10.50 for Nasi Lemak + neslo.
For nondescript, small town, small coffee shop food.

Unlike the Singaporean Lor Mee, it is less starchy and has less fancy ingredients. It doesn’t have all the fried ngoh hiang and all but it has pork slices and lots of lardddddd.
.
.
They also serve a mean cup of kopi.

All for less than RM10 😱
All the way from Singapore, but a sit down rather than takeaway, is fluff!

Cakes and ambience was beautiful.

Only gripe is I see the green but the Pandan flavour doesn’t shine through. Rest of the elements were there, like Gula Melaka and coconut. Cake was soft and fluffy. Nevertheless, a great place to hang out w your girlfriends or lover. ☕️
Located at ICC Pudu, this would be my get to everyday morning caffeine fix (if I could). This tea is so Gao that it almost taste like coffee. It’s smooth and easy to drink without being too sweet 😋😋
If you love durian and Cendol. Why not have both?! Soft green Cendol that has just enough bite and fragrant coconut + Gula Melaka topped w durian. This will definitely send you to dessert heaven.
This place closes late and is perfect for after dinner desserts!
Not the best photo but if you are looking for late night supper and savory pratas are not your thing, then come have some Chinese dessert!

Yin yang consist of white almond paste and black sesame paste. Super smooth and fragrant!
.
.
Egg pudding w goji berries. Goji berries are not the best combi with the egg pudding but it works
I can only say, don’t come to KL and eat Penang char kway Teow 😂😂
If you don’t have time to travel around KL, come straight to Lot 10 hutong, where one of the richest man in Malaysia brought together the 10 best food in KL to the same place.

.
Thick char Siew slices with springy noodles and fresh wonton. So goooood.
