🤔: Am always skeptical about ordering cream dishes, but this one here was surprisingly good for its price. Wish there were more mushrooms though ☹️

was expecting the sauce to be like usual western chicken chop, gravy kind. would be better if the meat is covered with more sauce.

Despite the punny shop name, do come try the grilled meat here. Quite filling

Ordered a medium rare beef burger for $14.80++. Wasn’t expecting much but the beef was surprisingly tender. Not much truffle taste though. Fries were a bit dry. Would have prefer if it came with some housemade sauce

Serving charcoal grill items with side dishes, you can choose from few type of protein meats. Each protein also accompany with a choice of rice, soba or salad.

Complete your meal with a set of drink and miso soup for $3.80. Their miso soup was special as you actually able to find chicken meat and carrot inside the soup. Ice lemon tea came in a huge size of drink.

The grilled salmon was crispy and juicy, topped with mentaiko. It is really a valuable meal. $14.80

The steak was delicious. A bit on the thin, flat side but really flavourful and was cooked to a medium / medium rare.
The soba was tasty too.

The only thing I really had an issue with was the guy serving the tables. He really looked like he was angry at everyone. Service was a bit slow but it wasn’t too bad.

Will come back and try other things from the menu.

The prawn is fried and they are crunchy , slightly spicy and not too oily. It is perfect match with the sour sauce so the taste wont be greasy. This is limited time food and other dish is soft shell crab. Price for prawn is 7.90,and rice is 1.50

This is another must try! It’s at $6.80, worth it! The cheese and the chunky bits of pork ragout, damn good! Yums!

The price is $15.80, I think is ok for this delicious must try dish! The soba is very nice! 👍

The teriyaki chicken was tender and there was a good portion for the price. Paying $1 more for the soba option instead of rice also came with Japanese-style sides of tofu with sesame and soya sauce Japanese cucumber which was a delicious and good pairing to the chicken (instead of orange and coleslaw). Would have liked for the soba to have slightly more sauce / sesame & seaweed as it was a bit tasteless and plain by itself
⚠️ As it was peak dinner hour, there was a slight 5min wait for a table and a 20ish min wait for food to be served

Wasn’t the best miso soup out there. This food serve here are rather fast food like and I Will probably wouldn’t come back any time soon.

if i had to return for one thing, it would defo be for these! crisp on the outside, soft on the inside + they were dusted w this sour plum powder which was a very nice contrasting tangy taste :-)

must admit the skewered items were kinda bland which i guess that’s why there was an additional portion of the glaze on the side! the quality was rly decent though, and i like the chewiness of the noodles! the lil sides of miso cucumbers and sesame tofu were very appetizing as well.

$10 ala carte, add $1.80 for soba set meal, prices before taxes
The soba was well seasoned albeit a little too salty, and I love the tofu and dipping sauce too.
Fish serving was actually one half side of a whole fish, and they didn’t debone it properly. Size is about my hand size. Anyhow, found it well grilled with crispy skin and juicy flesh.

$4.80 before taxes
Crispy on the outside, chewy inside! Doesn’t feel too greasy either. Will buy again

Gyoza cleverly disguised as a spring roll, what’s not to like !

Stacked sky high is the Crunchy Mushrooms, which was fried to a crispy golden brown and remained that way all the way till the end of the meal. The service staff here are really attentive, where they gave us a second helping of the sauce when they saw that it was depleting, without us having to ask for it.

Ordered the Pork Chop with Rice ($12.80) where the pork chop, while having quite a nice flavour that made the sauce on the side a little redundant, was pretty tough to cut and almost exhausting to chew. On the other hand, I got to try the teriyaki chicken and it was at least five up's from this in terms of tenderness and taste! 😭 One thing that was oddly satisfying, though, was the orange slices that came with each set. I would highly recommend eating it WITH your main as it has an interesting smoky and savoury flavour to it, all while retaining its citrusy sweetness.

Prices here might seem pretty affordable but to be real the portions are a tad stingy. That said, this experience wouldn't warrant myself a complete 'no' to anymore meals here (though me initiating a meal here might be...unoften) because that single bite of teriyaki chicken that I tried proved to me that there are dishes here that should be worth what you pay (in terms of quality at least). I just know now what to avoid, eh? 🙈

The best gyoza i've had so far in my life! I would think the gyoza has more filling than any other gyozas i tried previously. The dumpling skin was perfectly crisped and the right thickness, with the delicious meat and vegetable filling. It was the highlight of my meal there despite just being an appetizer. Had the pulled pork burger as well, but it didn't really satisfied my taste palette as the sauce marinade was a tad too sweet for my liking. Overall I would go back again for the gyoza and try the other mains such as the Grilled Chicken with Rice/Soba:)

We initially wanted to try the soba noodles but they were out of stock. If I remember correctly, it cost $9.80 for the chicken and $14.80 for the beef. It is worth a try but I wouldn't go back again as the price isn't really worth it. The entire meal including Cheesy Pork Fries and a cup of tea cost about $40.
