Freshly prepared and staff was attentive. Cool decor indoors with outdoor seating as well. However food could have more flavours, a little bland for the rice and croquettes maybe could come with more sauce.

This place is so horrible that it deserves another post!!
Golden Phoenix - quail with Chinese glutinous rice.... the quail was so hard that my hubs had to keep chewing and cutting them into pieces... oh check out the gluttonous rice.. it’s so small that even a 3 year old kid will still feel hungry after eating that portion, not to mention an adult!
It’s not even worth the 1-1, now I know why this place is not crowded given that it is at Robertson quay.. if you want quiet and horrible food, you can consider here. Dun even need to call for reservation.

we ordered the pork fries which I’m not sure which part looks like fries? More like popcorn pork- this was the only legit item.
Bottom was trio pasta- green pesto, chili crab and squid ink.. it was so dry and cold and horrible and serving was small I basically finished in 5 mins,2 mouth fulls per portion, I mean... I DEFINITELY COOKED BETTER PASTA THEN THEM. Any coffeeshop Zi char stall is way better than this place.

Since my friend was craving for truffle fries, we ordered this as an appetizer before the mains were served. Right after this basket of fries was placed on the table, there was a pungent smell that surrounded us which we didn’t realize it was actually from the fries. Until we started eating and had a shock as we weren’t expecting Parmesan cheese to smell so animalic. The truffle oil was no match against the Parmesan cheese. We eventually finished the fries despite the taste and the small portion, but I would really not recommend getting it.

Another dish that was under the National Day Promotion was this Rougie Foie Gras Tobiko Fried Rice, priced originally at $34. As my friend was pregnant and had to avoid raw food, we asked for the tobiko to be removed. Surprisingly I enjoyed this more than the whole lobster golden salted egg yolk rice, given the wok hei of the rice. They weren’t stingy with the diced foie gras, though texture was dry and not too much of flavour in there.
