Run by the same team behind the now defunct Lee Tai Fu in Changi Village in 2001, this family-friendly restaurant cum bar in Tiong Bahru serves up an extensive menu of hearty eats along with a large selection of bottled beers (from $17) sourced from around the world β think BBNo. from London, Tripel Karmeliet from Belgium and Thatchers Cider from the UK. This makes it the ideal Sunday family brunch venue for kids to eat well and for parents to indulge in a tipple or two. If $5 kid-friendly eats like chicken tenders and Hawaiian pizza aren't enough to keep the young engaged, the collection of old school toys like McDonald's memorabilia should! Parents, go straight for the Otah Pizza ($24). An umami-rich otah paste is spread liberally atop a thin prata crust and topped with ikan bilis, onions and cheese. Made a trip down here for their famed otah pizza & I was most definitely not disappointed! ππSeemingly underwhelming when it was first served, a bite in & my eyes just lit up! πβ¨ The crispy paper thin crust turns out to be prata! Unlike the usual thin crust dough based pizzas. Along w the prata, the aromatic & intense spiced flavors of otah engulfed my entire mouth. What made this pizza really outstanding was that the otah was not littered in chunks on the base rather, it was spread on like the tomato sauce of our usual pizzas! So every bite ensured a mouthful of otah goodness π β€οΈ & of cuz, the secret ingredient is always cheese. The generous molten cheese muted just enough of the otah's spice, allowing a good amount of heat thru. I will most definitely come back for this pizza! #dayum #yummos
This creamy deep stout is definitely one for those stout lovers! π³ Comes w an old-school label & in an emerald bottle. Can't help but feel like I'm drinking some intense nourishing tonic π Then again, maybe I am ;) #angmoliangteh #craftbeer
This imperial stout is truly monstrous. With it's honey and coffee aroma, it leaves a bitter, and oily feel on your lips that makes you crave for more. It is medium bodied, with a slight sticky lacing.
