Even the innocent sounding ones like piccolo and pistachio

We are back at L'Atelier Tiramisu again for their awesome tiramisu desserts! This time, we decided to try out the matcha tiramisu as it sounded like a really novel combination. This dessert has no coffee inside it and it is covered with a generous serving of matcha powder which gives the top a slightly bitter flavour. The cream used in the dessert contains mascarpone cheese. We also felt that this tiramisu is laced with a slightly different alcohol that gives it a slightly fruity flavour but we can't pin down what it is 😅

Without the coffee and with a fruity note, this version feels lighter and a lot more refreshing! For $7.90, it is pretty much a steal given how interesting (and yummy) this combination is!

Can't get enough of their tiramisu! The lychee flavour is light, sweet and fruity and has quite a bit of alcohol (martini/rum?) which complements the taste super well!

One of the best tiramisus we've tried! The coffee flavour packs a punch with a tinge of alcohol. The mascarpone cheese was light and not gelat. We liked that the ladyfingers were moist but not overly wet as well! Definitely coming back to try their other flavours.

The tiramisu desserts at L'Atelier Tiramisu come in many flavours and one of those is the Earl Grey Lavender-flavoured tiramisu. The texture of the shop's tiramisu desserts are to our liking, as they are not overly moist, and the ladyfingers are not overly soft as well! The mascarpone cheese and cream used were pretty generous and we loved that too!

However, we felt the taste was a little imbalanced in this rendition, as the lavender overpowered the bergamot flavour. Furthermore, there is not much coffee in this tiramisu so it differs from the traditional tiramisu dessert in this sense. It might have been better to let the earl grey flavour stand out a little more so that the dessert lives up to it's name 😁 Still a very refreshing taste nonetheless!

For $7.50++, this tiramisu can hold it's on against many of those served at higher-end restaurants and hence, we think you should give this place a try if you have a sweet tooth! Do take note that you shouldn't come too late, however, as some of their flavours can be sold out before the stall closes.

Classico ($7.90). We liked how moist the cake was and reminded me of the ones I’ve had in Italy. The mascarpone cream was light enough as well. If there’s anything I could pick on, I would like it if the sponge cake was a bit more fluffy.

Worth the buy though! Would come back for more exciting flavours

Delectable cake which we shared along with hot chocolate (lots of coffee options too)

and now I've discovered a Tiramisu cafe in the basement of the central mall. We ordered the Classico and Pistachio flavour.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tiramisu should have that strong espresso flavour with that tinge of liqueur. A good proportion of mascarpone cheese and soaked ladyfingers too. The Classico ticks all that a good tiramisu has! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Pistachio Tiramisu's nutty topping gives a nice contrasting nutty crunch to the soft creamy tiramisu cake.

Cherries makes it a bit soggy but give it fruity rich flavour, somehow it tastes less sweet than classic. I like both flavours and will definitely go back for more!

Brûlée Tiramisu - $7.50

It’s your typical tiramisu but with creme brûlée coating at the top. Only blowtorched upon order, you are guaranteed a crisp top. Tiramisu overall still soft, I hope could be sweeter though, love my desserts sweet sweet. They offer a lot of different combinations, worth visiting and pick your favourite

I chanced upon L’Atelier Tiramisu during a search for nearby desserts, and this place specialised in sliced tiramisu.

When I ordered the Pistachio Tiramisu (S$7.50), I did not know that the cakes on display would be further decorated, because the staff took out a box of chopped pistachio nuts to layer over the cake, so that apart from the pistachio paste that was nicely blended into the dessert, an additional crunchy texture surprised me a bit. The cake was soft, and the sponge fingers were well-soaked, so this piece of cake could be the best post-meal dessert or the best afternoon tea.

If you have sweet tooth, this is for you! I personally do not like sweet stuffs, I find it overwhelming sugar rush. But the custard were really soft and still could taste the density of the rich Tiramisu. 😎

Isn’t this the best combination ever?? My favourite MATCHA on Tiramisu. I love the light and fluffiness of the cake, the intense taste of the matcha powder accompaniment really well. It’s a perfect cake match in heaven! 😋

Great piece of classic tiramisu for all tiramisu lovers out there!! It has a smooth texture and a mild sweetness in it. But maybe it's just me but there is a hint of alcohol inside or something that taste like alcohol.

Each piece of classic tiramisu is $7.20

What I loved about this cake was the sublime convergence of alcohol, coffee and dairy. The base layers alternated between bitter and sweet: mascarpone with a faint sweetness pillowing on a triplet of lady’s fingers steeped in wine and espresso, both so light and airy that they dissolved instantly on the tongue. Crowned by a dusting of cocoa powder, this cake deftly balanced the two conflicting flavours – truly phenomenal!

💭 Must try

A hidden gem that sells a variety of Tiramisu, great place to chill out over Tiramisu(s) and coffee. This lychee Tiramisu is so moist, soft and includes rum in them 》$7.50

Randomly chanced upon this stall and I went in without much expectations. Boy was I proved wrong as this tiramisu cake (original version) was so intricately balanced- the sweetness and creaminess of the mascarpone cheese coupled with the rich coffee infused ladyfingers and chocolate bits. The atmosphere was pretty chill and cosy, definitely suitable for small gatherings with family and friends. Will definitely be back to try the other flavours!

L'Atelier Tiramisu never fails to deliver, and despite the weird sounding combination of the two, this actually works really well. It is worth noting that there isn't much of a coffee element in here (probably not even at all), but this works really well for those who are in for something light on the tastebuds. The entire construction of the Lychee Tiramisu is similar to the usual — soaked sponge, mascarpone cheese and probably even a bit of alcohol; that already brilliant combination that works so well on their original version. Taking away that coffee element and replacing it with Lychee, it's familiar but refreshingly different with a light hint of Lychee that still goes very well with everything else in the Tiramisu. A sheer pleasure to have!
