Dishes like no other - start off with their LYCHEE ACHCHARU ($8) sweet lychees made sweeter and slightly spiced - yet somehow melts in your mouth and getting another, not for a fainted tongues πŸ‘…
EGG HOPPER ($7) is like tutu kueh textureπŸ˜† but thin with side crackers and perfect egg yolk in the middle πŸ‘ something to pair with the curries which we went for vegetarian 🌱!!!


First ever Sri Lankan cuisine experience, it was really interesting as majority of the items on the menu had spices in them even in their cocktails as well! Played it on the safe side and I really enjoyed the prawns πŸ€€πŸ‘πŸ» It was slightly over my budget, but would be great for groups!

To be fair, I've never had Sri Lankan food before but every dish tastes good so does not matter if it is authentic or not.

Service staff was great and we ordered everything that she recommended and they are really awesome. She also mentioned to go for the hopper instead of rice which really makes sense 'cuz we saw rice served at other tables and it looks very filling. Which means there won't be space for all these delicious food.

Portion isn't very big, so recommend to go in slightly bigger groups, can order more stuff and get a few bites of everything.

Would be back to try the other items on the menu!


After dining there several times before, I can rest assure you that the food served each time is kept to standards consistently. The food menu has evolved slightly when the restaurant first opened its doors to the public, but majority of the signatures like Crab Cutlet, Mutton Rolls, their range of sambols and achcharu, hoppers and Dallo Baduma ($22) are must-orders. Especially the Dallo Baduma which is dish of fried calamari tossed in chilli butter and curry leaves, this is best to go with rice or hoppers. Chef Alan @malaccamakanking has a special moreish dish for the evening too which is the Sri Lankan Red Tuna Curry ($26) that we ordered and enjoyed a lot as the meaty chunks of tuna paired so well with the curry.

The only dessert we ordered because we stuffed ourselves full from all the curries and hoppers! The first taste reminded me of crack pie that I got from a famous pie shop in Chicago but as I chewed more, the taste becomes way more familiar. Made with jaggery (which, iiuc, is akin to palm sugar) as well as coconut milk, the custard is silky smooth and leans on the aromatic sweet kind. Fortunately, it also comes crushed pistachio, some hidden candied orange beneath the ice cream and spices throughout to cut through the sweetness. Love this so much that I wish I didnt have to share it with 3 others.
