One of the best roll cakes I've had so far - soft and fluffy; cream used was very light so half the guilt..?Loved how the fillings were almost evenly spread so you get a bit of everything in a bite. Of course I HAD to get the matcha one; filled with matcha cream and matcha warabi and at least the roll had a subtle matcha taste. Despite being an avid matcha fan, the roasted kinako one won me over! It is little wonder why Kisshokaryo specializes in kinako. Distinct, fragrant roasted soybean with kinako cream and warabi. One thing about the warabis used here is how soft, stretchy, and less jelly-like compared to the usual ones in the market. At 378¥ each, I'll definitely get them again the next time and maybe make time to eat here instead.
