Since it is coated with salted egg so expect it to be salty. The crispy yam was overpowered by the salted egg hence the yam taste was not brought out. Crab is on a pricey side as we ordered 2 crab and the bill came up to $176 based on that day rate.

At least 1kg of crab here. The crab meat is not as juicy as it would be if it was steamed. Couldn't really taste the yam because the shredded yam were all coated with salted egg. Felt a little heaty after eating :/ good for family sharing.

Located near the International Business Park in Boon Lay, Kimly Seafood serves up zi char dishes that are bang on flavour, and worth travelling for even if you don't work around the area β€” they made it onto Burpple's Hot 100 list last year! Bring along dining companions who like their food super flavourful. There are plenty of dishes to try, one of which is their signature Crispy Yam Salted Egg Crab (seasonal price). There's no need to order mantou for this one. The dry-style dish sees salted egg battered crabs paired with highly addictive deep-fried yam sticks, also coated in salted egg sauce. Tastemaker Michelle Kayla Tey also recommends the Garlic Nan Ru Pork ($13), a Hakka specialty of pork belly marinated in red fermented beancurd, deep-fried till crisp golden. It's so garlicky and moreish, you'll find it hard to stop munching! If you're in a group of four or so, order the Tai O White Bee Hoon ($20 for large), a delicate noodle dish that will offer a good contrast to the other flavour-heavy plates.
Avg Price: $20 per person

Packed with ingredients, every mouthful guaranteed a nice contrast of silky and crunchy. The stock was a little too delicate for me; my palate's geared towards strong-tasting flavours. Thought this could benefit with a little more wok hei plus some egg ribbons for a thicker consistency. Still, it's pretty good value at just $20 for a huge portion that could easily feed 4-6.

A Hakka specialty - deep fried fermented pork belly. Crispy and garlicky with a delicate sweetness, this was well-executed; I loved how the delicious oils melted away on the tongue. So good I just couldn't resist having more.
