KGB - Killer Gourmet Burgers (TTDI)

It's been a long day at the office, and all you want is a burger, some fries and a milkshake. Look to this casual joint for the perfect fix. The signature KGB Spiked (RM17.50) comes with sharp cheddar, crispy beef bacon and a slightly spicy KGB special sauce. The patty has a nice crust thanks to a good sear, adding a crispy bite around the edges. Pair it with their yummy Sweet Potato Fries (RM8.90), or go big like Burppler Farah Aziz, and get the Kimchi Fries Fully Loaded (RM16.90) with beef bulgogi. Wash all that down with a Salted Caramel Pralines milkshake (RM13).

Tried this for the first time after so many years the other night and I liked it. I remember trying it when it first came out years ago, but I didn’t like it. Then again, I only started eating kimchi this year. There were pieces of kimchi in between the fries as well as bulgogi beef which was surprisingly soft, topped with sour cream and, some other sour-ish sauce 😅 I usually don’t like my fries soggy but this was an exception. I don’t recommend getting this if you’re sharing with just one person though, it’s a little too filling if you’re already having a burger yourself.

I love burgers, I do. I love it even more if it has melted cheese. Bacon too. I love them all. I prefer beef more than fried chicken for the patty, because fried chicken and bacon is just funny. Or maybe not, I have yet to try. So, the rest of this review is already biased 😜

My normal order would be The Bash, the one with the cornflakes, if you're wondering. While I was queuing up, I thought, maybe I want something with bacon. So, there. I got this.

I liked it, but I thought it was a little bit dry. I had to add more sauce to it. Even the patty felt dry, not juicy as I imagined it to be. But hey, you can now choose how you want them to cook your patty. Mine was, I forgot.. but I'd come back to get The Bash or try other stuff, definitely 😊

Was super surprised by how good this tasted! Juicy crust seared beef patty sandwiches between fluffy buns was the perfect mid-day hunger solution.
