This is a tart that works both chilled and heated! When chilled, the lemon curd has those traditional egg tart textures, being kinda firm. When heated, it becomes softer and creamier. I think I prefer it heated.

The lemon custard is pretty sweet with a hint of sourness, it's really good and goes well with the fragrant cookie crust. This is my fav of the 3 kazo tarts I reviewed!

The taro filling in this tart is kinda on the creamier side, like cake cream. Personally i would prefer more orh nee-like fillings but the yam taste in this was pretty strong! There were very small bits of yam in the cream too, adding a unique texture. I also think that maybe there is some coconut in here?

The ginko nuts in this aren't bitter, thankfully, unlike the ginko nuts from Mei Kee Bakery's orh nee tart 🥴 these are soft and bland, and nice to eat!

Fillings wise, I honestly prefer June Bakery and Mei Kee's cuz I find that the texture is more to my liking, since I'm not a big fan of very creamy fillings. However this was still pretty good and with the amazing generosity of the fillings, I definitely appreciate this! Worth a try if you don't dislike a creamier, thicker consistency of fillings.

This is my first time trying one of Kazo's tarts! This one is a chocolate cheese tart, which I've never had before. I decided to have it warm and heated it (but the fragile crust broke off lol so that's why it looks so naked in the cross section pic).

The crust was absolutely wonderful, being buttery and fragrant. The filling was interesting, having that signature salty cheese taste while at the same time having a richer, chocolatier taste. Maybe it's just me but I found that the filling kinda tasted like Milo.

Really nice tart but I do find it a bit pricey at $3.30. I think it's also sold at 3 for $9 which is a little better, so it's worth a try! I still liked Paris Baguette's cheese tart more though. Maybe I'll return to Kazo to try the regular cheese tart.

This is the most I've ever spent on a single bun, but this bread was too much to resist. I mean, just look at it, it does not hold back with all the garlicky goodness piled on top 😱 plus, it's pretty huge, so I decided to splurge a little.

Instead of having just cream cheese inside, this bun also has mashed potatoes, which I found quite interesting. The mashed potatoes kinda tasted like the Maggi 5 minute mashed potatoes (which I absolutely love btw, so this isn't a bad thing), having that fried garlic taste integrated into it. Also, it tasted like mushroom soup to me? Maybe it's just me but I could definitely taste some mushroom soup.

Unfortunately, I didn't find this bun to live up to my high expectations :( maybe I like sweeter garlic cheese breads but somehow I wasn't really super wowed by this. Could be due to the fact that I didn't eat it fresh and reheated it in the oven after putting it in the fridge (which is how I typically eat my breads) so I can't judge it fully but I didn't find it to be worth my $6.90. Maybe if you like more savoury garlic cream cheese buns, you'll like this. For me though, it's too expensive and didn't impress me as much as I expected it to.

This polo is different from that of other bakeries. Instead of normal bread, the polo actually has croissant pastry. The cookie on top covers the croissant all over and is nice and crunchy. It has a super fragrant taste to it and the aftertaste is just like those little egg ball snacks that I loved so much when I was younger :D A+ cookie.

The salted egg cream inside didn't have a super strong salted egg taste, but I could definitely still taste it without being too overpowered by it. It was slightly sweet but not too sweet. I kinda remember it being sweeter in 2018 but maybe I'm remembering wrongly :p the amount of cream inside was just right.

I will forever love Kazo's unique polos and I'm glad to see (or taste) that their polos are still as good as ever 😍

Probably the most underrated polo at Kazo, because everyone seems to only post about the cream polos. Even Kazo themselves don't seem to promote this bun as heavily and only have the cream ones displayed. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes any kind of floss, this bun is basically a dream come true for me 😫

I had this bun once in the past and loved it then, I kinda forgot how much floss was inside. It was basically falling out once I cut it open. There was also a generous layer of egg cream / mayo inside, making it taste like a floss bun, except elevated. The polo cookie was delicious as always and the light, airy croissant paired well with the heavy egg mayo. Honestly, why have a regular floss bread when you can have a floss polo croissant?

This polo seriously deserves more recognition because it is BOMB💥 I honestly like this more than the golden lava one, and I loved the golden lava one a lot. Kazo y'all gotta promote this polo a lot more because it's seriously slept on 😫 one of the BEST bakes I've had so far!!!
