I parked my car and realised I don't have my wallet!!! Wah lau!!! So I dig here and there and found $3.10 worth of coins! Thank God for affordable #sghawkerfood I managed to get a nice bowl of wanton noodles from the famous Joo Chiat Wanton Noodles! Damn yummy but the noodles were a little salty for me. Love the wantons cos they have the authentic wanton taste I grew up with. Satisfying brekkie for only $3!

PRICE: $2.50

NOODLES: Springy egg noodles. The kinda texture we like.

CHAR SIEW: Loads. Lean, not fatty

WANTON: 3 good-sized (boiled)

WAITING TIME: - (weekday lunch)

PARKING: Ample parking around the 2 hawker centers

SPECIAL LOVE FOR ❤️: Generous noodles serving for only $2.50!

Apparently, it’s call to fame was it’s affordable $1.90 a bowl noodles. The wantons were filled with quite a lot of meat. However, I was left feeling underwhelmed as the noodles and wantons were a little tasteless. Nevertheless, I wish this stall would continue to serve up wanton noodles and continue its legacy.

By that I mean they claim to be from the 60s but suck. Terrible plate of wanton mee. Of wanton mee's many components, they pretty much didn't get any right.

Not as good as Fei Fei IMO but hits the spot nonetheless.
