Found another favourite breakfast spot among the locals, near to custom building with a few minutes drive away.

Alang Tunggal Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah is famous for what their signage already indicated.

Was surprised to see the place full house even on weekday morning time. I guess everyone is grabbing their breakfast before work.

Love their crunchy fried chicken with fragrant nasi lemak, especially the chilli sauce.

Looking for somewhere to grab your breakfast at JB? Hock Chiang Hin Dim Sum shop is only a short walk away from the custom building.

Open early morning and you already find many regulars would come here to get their dim sum breakfast in this old school shop.

They actually opened since 1940s, and still going strong with their dim sum offerings.

Found another gelato shop at this busy JB city centre called the Sibling’s Gelato. The location can consider away from the heart of tourist streets, further down along the street of Jalan Ibrahim.

This gelato shop has some cosy seating area, serving gelato, waffle and drinks.

Went for the refreshing lychee osmanthus flavour that comes with a pieces of lychee.

Looking for decent handmade mee hoon kueh in JB for dinner? This place called the Yong Seng is located at Taman Pelangi, which many locals familiar with the place under the tree.

Open till late night, making a perfect place to grab dinner or supper at an outdoor space.

Their mee hoon kueh comes with lots of ikan bilis, fishball, meatball and vegetable. Egg is add on.

Available in either soup or dry version like mine.

Although there’s many popular food places around Johor Bahru city centre, but there’s also some hidden place that only the locals would know about it for now.

For example this interesting food place called the Teo Hock Kee Fried Kueh Teow. It hidden in their own house at the corner of road just opposites the Persada Convention Centre.

There’s no obvious signage at the roadside but you can see it if you look closely into the house.

So basically you would be enjoying the uncle’s plate of fried kueh teow at the front yard of his house.

Which I find it very interesting and homely here. His fried kueh teow is very similar to what we can find in Singapore.

Go for the kueh teow with noodle, and add chili. That’s it, it would be a wonderful plate to enjoy.

I was taking a flight from Senai Airport and looking for something to eat before departure nearby, then I found this new place at Kulai.

Alit Restaurant housed within a vey nostalgia interior style of setting, serving local cuisine from early morning.

Their signature dish seems to be the curry noodle. I would say it is very tasty and spicy for me. You get to choose the type of noodle.
