I had my first try of this delish at this chain outlet and there and then, my heart was stolen. Maybe because it cant be found in any other Chinese restaurants, JEM imperial treasure is where I will go to whenever I have a craving for this unique fried rice delish.
Unlike other muifan, this dish had its rice fried and the amount of wok hey in it was just mind-blowing. Drizzled over that wok hey masterpiece was a silky sauce of dried scallops, kailan stem, wild mushrooms, tender chicken and crunchy prawns. With such a silky texture and amazing flavours, it was almost impossible to pause in between mouthfuls.
This delish (small sized) can easily fill up four bowls, hence probably enough for a person with a huge Hokkien Fried Rice craving to satisfy, or two small eaters. Definitely a comfort food on rainy days too:)
At $14 a pop, would you go for this? The skin was crispy and made a crackling sound with every bite while each piece comes with a perfect proportion of meat to fats ratio
😍😍😍 I missed Imperial's carrot cake, egg tart & liu sha bao so much I went back a second time this week!
// Sunday dim sum brunch with the fam is getting on well with the siew mai and 腐皮卷 stealing the show.
