Late night lone steak hunt saw me missing the closing time for Gyukatsu Motomura but hey it's Shibuya and there's tons of choices!

Previously tried Ikinari Steak which was pretty good and wallet-friendly so while you could easily get better ones around, this was quite a safe bet. Seems pretty popular with locals too, was there slightly before their last order timing of 10.45pm and there were still people streaming in! Choose from different types of beef (Grain-fed/ Japanese ribeye, Australia sirloin steak, tenderloin). Prices range from 7.3¥-10¥/100g, so it's really affordable! Order would be by weight and the chef cuts the steak to your chosen thickness in front of you.

Got the cheapest Grain-Fed Beef Ribeye Steak (7.30¥/100g) - which set me back by about sgd$19. Juicy, slightly fatty and cooked perfectly to the doneness (opted for medium rare), seasoned well and flavourful with a range of sauces you could add - hot soy sauce, mustard etc.; the steak comes on a sizzling hot plate with corn and onions, go for additional sides of rice/ garlic rice etc for a heavier meal.
