It’s really tough choosing from the close to 40 flavours available but the patient staff allowed us to sample quite a few. We went with 100% chocolate, green tea & tieh kwan ying. Do note they also allow you to choose 3 toppings for 3 scoops (another difficult choice) and the toppings range from biscuits to pastries & cheesecake, a showcase of what they have in the retail shop. It’s a generous bowl of ice cream great for sharing & beating the heat. While the ice cream isn’t the most smooth in texture or rich in taste, they are of interesting flavours and we liked that they aren’t too sweet. Would def recommend paying miyahara a visit! ⚠️ Going early around 10.30am, there was hardly a queue and we got our ice cream after ~5 mins so do go early if you want to beat the crowd

Ice cream at Miyahara Ophthalmology department - giant triple scoops with wide variety of toppings for 245twd (S$11) We picked the /smoked uganda 80% cocoa / mascarpone raisin/ "between dreams and life" (tea concoction of red tea/mint/rose) with cheesecake, chocolate biscuit, banana and meat pie (Place's interestingly named after the optometrist Miyahara who constructed this building during the jap occupation!!). Anyway, ice cream here was smooth but flavours we chose wasn't outstanding. Kinda got cheated by the Chinese name 马斯卡邦葡萄 turned out to be raisin instead of grapes 😅; we loved the tea concoction though - interesting mix! Waffle bowl wasn't fragrant enough either. There are about 63 flavours to choose from by the way. Friend summarized this as "nice to look at, big portion but pretty ordinary"

So happy to chance across this place!!!! It looks magical and I finally found the source of the yummy pineapple & sun cakes from Taiwanese friends 2 years ago🙌🏼 really lovely place (almost-Hogwarts like). Packaging is damn pretty too!!! The famous ice cream is just next door so just pop by here if you're in Taichung with time to spare.

Up to 54 kinds of Ice Cream flavor to choose from followed by free toppings at the end of the purchase, what's there more to ask for? - 80% Choco and Tie Guan Yin flavor Ice Cream! Followed by almond biscuit, pineapple pastry and cheesecake as topping, all for free! 😁👑

Choose from over 27 different flavours of chocolate, and special toppings such as pineapple tarts, wafers and more. The rum and raisin was really good.
