Though prices are pretty steep, hardcore matchaholics would be glad to know that quality is definitely not compromised here, with top grade of Matcha used - as the name suggests as well 😅. True enough, the intense umami and earthy flavour was a lingering one that possessed a characteristic bitter undertone, one that might be an acquired experience for some. As a hardcore matchaholic, I truly appreciate the robust earthy umami flavour that packs a punch! 💚 The texture was also creamy and thick, retaining its semi-solid shape well and long enough for my shots📸. “Hurry and eat it before it melts!” exclaimed the crew (whom I assumed is the owner) who witnessed me spending a long time in taking photos 🙈. Despite that the softserve was really obedient and allowed me to slowly savour and relish it in its semi-solid state. Half cup was definitely no kick for me, perhaps I would opt for the full serving for myself next time 😜 . Hopefully houjicha can replace the current Nishio matcha softserve for a twist 🙏🏻. (PS: sorry for the spam, was really indecisive on the ideal picture and hence I decided to just unleash my Matcha obsession 💚😂) .

This is a very interesting drink for matcha connoiseurs. Try it and see if you can taste the difference between Uji matcha and Nishio matcha, the latter slightly priced more. The crema had a faint hint of yummy yuzu. At $6.30 it is on the expensive side but well, its real cream and not vegetable oil-based cream.

Price: $6.00

The cone was so big!!! Bigger than I expected it to be. Good for two to share. Now this soft Serve is really for matcha lovers out there. The matcha flavour was so intense and it was not sweet at all, even slightly bitter! I loved it so much as it was so creamy and reminded me of a matcha latte. I liked that it wasn't sweet at all too as it made me feel like I was drinking the actual tea itself 🍵 It actually felt healthy!?!? Hahaha I know it's not. They also sell it in a charcoal cone but I wasn't convinced to get it as I did not understand why it cost 70cents more for a black cone. MATCHA LOVERS you HAVE TO try this. It will definitely leave you feeling zen 💆🏻.

Damm legit green tea soft serve. Best i have had in SG so far!

Redeemed this pair from the purchase of a Fave voucher ($8.70) and got a flavour each. Thought the houjicha fared better with its bitterness and nice roasty-ness, but personally felt that they were quite underwhelming in comparison to the other softserves around. I liked that they weren’t as sweet but was hoping for stronger tea notes. Not sure if it's because of the voucher redemption but the portion seems smaller too?

Why not have the best of both worlds when you can have a swirl of nishio matcha and hojicha twist in a cone for $6.20? The bitterness of the matcha and roasted houjicha paired so well together and is an absolute saver in this scorching hot weather.

✨ Serving alongside Nishio matcha, having the dual flavours was a tea-riffic option that certainly didn't disappoint; much better than having the individual flavours in silo IMO. The combination was one with a robust, full bodied earthy flavour of Nishio matcha, coupled with its lingering pleasant umami note that blended harmoniously with the distinctive roasted flavour and aroma of the Houjicha softserve. The softserve was also smooth, creamy and thick, a melt-in-the mouth texture that I adore. Having tried the houjicha flavour in silo on my prior visit, I would highly recommend the twist (dual flavours) for the hardcore matchaholics as it comes with a stronger flavour profile .

Available along with Nishio matcha flavour, you can choose to also have a twist (dual flavours) if you can't make up your mind among the 2! I decided to have it in silo to fully savour the flavour first. The softserve was smooth and creamy, with a melt-in-the mouth texture, coupled with a distinct earthy flavour and a pleasant lingering roasted aroma. Though the characteristic roasted flavour was pretty distinct, my heart is still leaning towards @matchayasg for their robust and full bodied flavour with a bitter undertone. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind giving this a 2nd try for the twist (dual flavour)! 💖

Ordered the tsubu. There's tossed buckwheat puffs, Gula Melaka sago, grilled dango 🍡and senbei 🍘. Soft serve is thick and creamy with that authentic matcha bitterness. Yummmm 👅 🍦

This stall has been around for some time but it's the first time that I tried. The Uji Matcha Cup ($5.20) is nothing fanciful other than having a pretty strong matcha taste. I was eating the soft serve for 15 mins and it didn't really melt at all. Hmm....

Tried the Matcha Soft serve with Azuki and toasted buckwheat. Very dense in the mouthfeel and it was not too sweet. The pairing with the Azuki (sweet) lent a balanced overall taste. However, somehow it just doesn't click with my Matcha-crazy palate. In my opinion, the Matcha taste was somewhat lacking. Will perhaps try their other items. Price: $7.20 (Cash Only). The server was very friendly.
Just to add: Puffles are no longer served here.

Pretty nice but I don't find it as nice as Tsujiri's personally! The tea taste isn't as strong! I really like the biscuit tho! It's kinda like a love letter! You can have the option of drizzling it with Nutella instead but I prefer to taste the matcha on its own 😊 it was $5 I think? Pretty pricey but anything for a good matcha fix 🍵🍵🍵

Price: $5.50
Was quite skeptical when I heard of this at first, but upon drinking realised that it wasn't as bad as expected :D slightly on the sweet side (but i have a low sugar tolerance for drinks) and overall felt that the matcha overpowered the houjicha. Though not very balanced, but the flavours complimented each other well! (:
