There's nothing like some Northern Chinese spicy side dishes to get your tastebuds burning deliciously.
We ordered these, plus a few bowls of noodles, from "Hua Yang SiChuan Cuisine", a corner stall at Broadway Food Court.
The distinctive fragrance of dried Szechuan chillies used to fry the chicken ($5), and the tongue-numbing yet aromatic peppers that fired up the boiled pork trotters ($8) and crunchy pig ears ($5) were impossible to resist.
Just remember to standby drinks to extinguish the flames if your threshold for spicy food is low.

Every bit of delicious, seriously no regrets! Tangy mala with a minute bit of spice, would have ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️ if it was more spicy but this was 99% delish already! Only $5 per plate πŸ“die die also must go πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

At first glance, this corner store at the newly opened coffeeshop along Tyrwhitt Road looks like any regular noodle shop. But take a closer look and you'll find familiar SiChuan dishes like Boiled Dumplings with Chili ($5) and Sour and Spicy Noodles ($5). The selection may be limited, but all we ask for is affordably-priced and perfectly executed SiChuan fare. The owner, who is from SiChuan, shares that his spice levels have been turned down a few notches to suit our local tastebuds, but is more than willing to provide the "authentic" SiChuan taste for spice lovers β€” just ask for the "perverted" spicy level (bian tai la). We love the Sour and Spicy Noodles ($5), a comforting bowl of chewy noodles swimming in a flavourful chili-vinegar broth that is not too spicy to slurp on. Pair that with a plate of Cold Tossed Pig Ears ($5) and Boiled Dumplings with Chili ($5) and you've got a seriously satisfying meal!
Avg Price: $10 per person

A hearty comforting bowl of spicy sour happiness ❀️❀️ Do opt for their noodles as recommended by the friendly owner & don't be shy to ask for extra spice as the heat is pretty muted. You'll be slurping this whole bowl down & maybe ordering another like we did. It's so addictiveeee! πŸ‘…πŸ’¦

Just thinking about this dish makes me salivate πŸ‘…πŸ’¦ Cooked till the right amount of crunch, drenched in glistening glorious Sichuan chilli oil, muted heat & refreshingly chilled. This will be perfect for a cold, rainy day or when you're craving for some tangy, spicy snack! ❀️❀️

SO GOOD. Their noodles are fabulous, the soups are full of flavour and not a lot of heat at all. I enjoyed both the pork and mutton.
