House of Gimbap serves a variety of Korean bimbaps and bimbimbaps alongside Korean wellness teas such as Burdock Tea and Yuzu Tea. Prices are a little on the high side but ingredients are fresh and the food are delicious. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg

#ThrowbackThursday: Lunch the other day with a friend πŸ₯πŸ™πŸ£πŸ± Yummy stuff, although pretty pricey too. Spicy Fishcake Gimbap Roll at S$10.50. The takeaway packaging is very neat and aesthetically pleasing 😊

Korean joints have been mushrooming non-stop, but House of Gimbap sets itself apart with a focus on rice rolls ($11.50, 10 slices) and wellness teas. The Beef Bulgogi Gimbap is an easy choice – a sweet and savoury meaty sensation filled with marinated grilled Australian beef, mushrooms, fresh lettuce and pickled vegetables – and so is the Wasabi Tuna, especially if you’re looking for a mild kick. For those who prefer rice bowls, they offer a small selection too including the Spicy Pork Dupbap ($15.50), which comes topped with spicy grilled pork, vegetables and spring onions. Wash it all down with the refreshing, mint-kissed Esel Tea ($3) for the full experience.

They are not shy at all about the wasabi, which gives a long, slow burn moderated with cheese. The doenjang soup is deep and mellow.

Grilled Australian Beef in Korean Bulgogi sauce, Mushroom and fresh lettuce. Beef pieces were actually pretty fine, with a little gamey flavour which wasn't too disturbing. Liked how the pickled vegetables added a refreshing crunch and a bit of sweetness to the Gimbap.
