[Recommended] $2.30 per dish. The char siew pau is very nice and smooth. Har gao, siew mai also very nice. Waited close to 45 mins. Popular mainly with elderly. When we were waiting for the number to flash, next table to us was 2 ang mo ladies also enjoying the dim sum. Remember to take the number first at the stall and wait for your number to flash then place your order. Recently I keep having cravings for dim sum thanks to the ch8 9pm show Heart to Heart. πŸ™‚ at least manage to find the smiling char siew pau and near my workplace. I will be back

Ordered Prawn Cheong fun & Char Siew Pau. Cheong fun ok loh, I like the sauce. Char Siew Pau was really Gd, so juicy & tasty! They are so generous with the fillings, the char siew just oozes out from the buns. I'm not supposed to eat Char Siew cos high cal but this is totally worth the calories!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜‹ Best part, I like it when I can order my food in canto haha! ε₯½ζœ‰θ¦ͺεˆ‡ζ„ŸοΌπŸ˜„

Take a queue number from the stall, and wait for your number to be called before ordering 😊
I made the mistake of coming here before 1pm, and it was a 45min wait 😒 There are only 6 items, and everything is priced at $2.30!!
My favourite is the fluffy char siew bao and the plump har gow 😁 Especially great when eaten hot!
It's interesting that they use chicken rice chilli, but the watery chilli with garlic actually went quite well with the items.
Find them at unit 97 from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am till they sell out!

The Mother of all Char Siew Paus found here at Chinatown Complex. $2.80 for 3 steaming hot bunsβ€” defo worth the money and tummy jiggles. Chunks of meat marinated to perfection enveloped by fluffy dough, can't get any better than this πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Was real tough to share in a lunch appointment for 2 cos we both wanted the last pau, lol #Burpplecheapandgood

My family got to know this stall because of the owner strong Hong Kong Ascent. Once we walked by this stall and overheard this uncle talking to his wife (auntie who helped to take order), my dad immediately identified with his strong ascent and decided to give this stall a try. .
|
Mountains of steam baskets stacked around the kitchen and only a little space leave at the counter for the uncle to make his dim sum. (Which reminded us so much of stalls in Hong Kong) .
|
They started preparing his dim sum from 6am and began selling from 11am. A trick we always did was to take a number card at 10am while we were having other stalls for breakfast. So by 11am, we would be the first few, and "tabao" them for tea break. When you are first time having their char siew bao, do be careful of the lava hot char siew filling. .

Side note: if you want to test the skill of the dim sum chef, order the three signature dim sum - char siew bao, har gau and siu Mai. #Hawkerpedia

Between the two, I would prefer the Siew Mai here; dumpling stuffed with loads of meat, fresh prawns that gave it a good bite. Har Gow pales in comparison; the skin was of the right thickness and carried enough chewiness but the mushiness of the prawn wasn't to my liking.
