Westies, this is for you! If you are looking for some good Korean food, Hoho Korean Restaurant is a splendid choice. I loved everything, from their mains to their side dishes!
Their Seafood Soondubu Stew ($16) came in a big pot and I must say their stew is really one of the most flavourful ones I've had. It had such a rich deep seafood broth flavour and wasn't too spicy. The prawns and clams within were fresh too! A very comforting bowl of stew I don't mind having anytime.
Even their side dishes were good, especially their kimchi! It definitely does not taste commercial, but rather homemade. Loads of dried shrimp flavour within that gave it a good umami.
Feel like this is a hidden gem as it's located deep in sunset way!
If you are like me who craves for chicken soup on rainy days then you got to order the nourishing ginseng chicken soup made with glutinous rice and red dates to warm you up right away! Love the tender fowl and light, tasty broth that does not have a strong ginseng taste.
Another popular staple food to enjoy on wet weather is bibimbap. It comes with a raw egg and serves in a hot stone bowl. Mix the spicy fermented paste with the rice, meat, bean sprouts, mushrooms, carrot and cucumber for a fulfilling meal. We also ask for additional serving of gochujang paste for a bolder, spicy umami flavour! ๐

Topped with black bean sauce, this bowl of chewy noodles came in a substantial portion and is definitely value for money! Compared to most other jjangmyeon that weโve had, the consistency of the sauce is not as thick but enough to satiate our cravings! ๐
Overall, the cozy family-run establishment offers reasonably-priced dishes with filling portions and a good variety of banchan. Can visit for a comforting meal of Korean food! โจ
Crispy with a good amount of seafood ingredients, the seafood pancake is a popular item here. Apart from the seafood variation, this is also available with kimchi, beef, potato and vegetables.
Not v good, the octopus texture was slightly watery, and overall it's abit too spicy too. Furthermore it's damn expensive
