Order the Chicken and Pork Cordon Bleu for $12 each as it is the most unique items.
At first when it came, portion looks small compared to what other customer other food they ordered. However after trying half portion of the meat, it is quite filling partly because of the cheese inside the and the batter. Even though it is deep fried, it is not dry.
Only downside is cheese got bit of smell and sides portion quite little.
Overall, a good dish and wouldn't mind trying the other dishes available.
Returned today to Happy Chef Western, this time decided to try the chicken chop.
The chicken chop was really good. This was self prepared type, very old schoolTender and well cooked.
The garlic bread was toasted to a crisp.
Unlike most old school western shops, Happy Chef has a truly unique item on its menu, and that's the Chicken Kiev.
It is basically a Chicken Corden Bleu, a breaded chicken with ham and cheese within. The breaded crust was slughtly crunchy.
The cheese was still rather runny when served, the cheese flows out the moment u start cutting the chicken dish. The cheese was good for me, although would have preferred it a little more saltier.
Chicken was also good, it was not overcooked or dry whatsoever.
It is Served with 2 sides of your choice, with a selection that includes egg, fries, garden vegetables, coleslaw etc.
PS: saw alot of tables ordering the yakitori store inside this same coffee shop, will return to try them as it looks quite good too.
Took a gamble with the black pepper and it came out surprisingly good. The seasoning was not overpowering and chicken was grilled well.
Went to Happy Chef Western Food and want to try their Chicken Kiev but went out of stock for their ingredients already. Decided to order Pork Schnitzel instead ($7) (w BBQ Sauce) was quite salty but their meat was quite chewy (not that hard) and crispy for outer skin. I like their mashed potato to be and coleslaw to be fresh.
Pork Chop ($8) was quite marinated well but their meat was quite chewy (not that hard) and also topped with the gravy well. I usually ordered mashed potato and coleslaw for side dish and got that a variety of side dish to choose from.
