Hang Heung (AMK Hub)

Previously I came to try the other flavours but were unimpressed by them. So I came back again to test the original piece I fell in love with

The filling was still soft, and full of pineapple fragrance, but somehow lacked that impact. But the exterior is completely lacking in crisp, even tho I came 30mins after they open.

Their standards have definitely dropped, very unfortunately

Honestly doesn't taste like red bean at all. It's got a crumbly slighty dry texture like tau sar piah inside, and a distinct aroma.

None of them impressed on the second visit. Guess their wife biscuit is the only thing that's mindblowingly good, esp the pineapple one

Very average, it's a thick sauce but not uncommon

So I got the mung bean pastry and the og wife biscuit at first, but was so impressed I came back to get one more.

This might be even more delicious than the OG. It's everything like the OG except with an extremely strong and fresh pineapple aroma, yet without much of the taste. MUST TRY

This tastes ridiculously different from the normal bean paste. It's got a solid savouriness and much complexity, with a serious denseness yet it's not too cloying. Deserve to be tried once

It's hard to imagine this ridiculous price being worth it but that's exactly what it was.

This thing is different enough from your usual laopobing so it's not fair saying it's the best but damn it knocked my socks off. The inside layer was so soft it's almost jelly instead of the usual texture. Exterior was almost biscuity, which was fantastic cos I dislike flaky stuff. Its kept warm too so none of that cold stale bs.

Must try.
