Mao Shan Wang (Durian) Bingsu (S$11.90/ small)
A small Korean cafe hidden inside which seats about 18 pax. Very fine very milky with bits of durian on top.
Han Bing Cafe
Mango Tango Bingsu (Signature & Regular Size - $11.90)
i felt that mango pieces the staff give not much tbh and even though it's under signature series.
Green Tea (Matcha) Bingsu (Premium & Regular Size - $13.90)
green tea's colour and taste for powder was quite weird tbh but then red bean is not that bad. I felt that it's quite milky and creamy for bingsu tbh for me. They got a variety of different bingsu flavour to order from and got a lot of different size from mini to large for sharing.
Korean Gyoza ($9.90)
got six pieces for gyoza and served with vingear sauce. it's quite crispy and crunchy texture on the gyoza skin.
Overall ⭐️ 3/5 ⭐️
🍴Nestled within Serene Centre, decided to check out this cosy Korean themed restaurant. Haven’t had bingsu in awhile (is it me or are there very few places offering it nowadays) so was tempted by their huge array of Bingsu flavour choices from classic Korean Injeolmi to local chendol.
The mini version was perfect for one and provided much relief for the heat. Using a dedicated ice machine, the shaved ice was evenly fine with added creaminess from what we assume to be evaporated milk.
We preferred the matcha (3.5 ⭐️) for its generous dousing of matcha powder that provided a bitter contrast to the sweet ice and Azuki. The mango strawberry (2.5 ⭐️) had overly sweetened syrup and while the strawberries were fresh with a sweet-sour profile, mango pieces had more of a canned-mango taste profile.
