One of the more popular stalls in Holland Drive Food Centre, this Hakka noodle is one dish I will crave definitely.

The Hakka Noodle ($5.50 for large) came packed full of ingredients, from multiple daily available Yong tau foo pieces to fried wantons!

The noodles were springy, and nicely coated with a very traditional tasting sauce, topped with braised minced meat and cameralised shallots. The cameralised shallots were really the bomb, as they were bursting with umami and savoury flavours. Very slurp worthy!

The fried ingredients given may not be the crispiest, but they are packed full of meat ingredients!

The boiled Yong tau foo items were fresh and does seemed handmade. Love them with their handmade chilli which had a tang and quite strong heat!

Definitely will come back for this again 😍

There are easily three stalls inside Holland Drive Market and Food Center selling Yong Tau Fu. During my lunchtime visit on a Weds, only this stall has no queue, in spite of its competitive pricing at $3.50/$4.50. You get a total of 8 pieces of Yong Tau Fu, bok choy and noodles.

I ordered the dry Hakka Noodles with chilli. The dollop of paste like chilli is more savoury than spicy. Separately you can get chilli sauce as a condiment. This one is very watery like those you get at chicken rice stalls and taste just like those.

The Yong Tau Fu and noodles were also not particularly impressive. The flavour is there, in the deep fried and boiled items but on the whole, together with the noodles with chilli and minced meat sauce, it is not spectacular.

I happened to be at Holland Drive Food Centre for lunch and I decided to give Hakka Noodle (#02-15) a try.

The Hakka Noodle ($4.50 for large) is similar to mee pok but thinner. The noodle is topped with fried minced meat which is savoury and fragrant. The yong tau foo ingredients are fixed and the fishballs, beancurd skin and tofu are fresh and tasty, and they go well with the tangy chilli sauce. The $4.50 portion is also pretty generous. Glad I ordered this!

Really value for money meal - for 3 dollars , you get 6 pieces of Yong Tau Hu plus an authentic Hakka noodles with your choice of minced meat or ikan billis toppings .

The ingredients are fresh and the noodles are QQ .
The soup is also light and not overly seasoned.

A very hearty meal at a cheap price :)

For $3, you can get hakka noodles with a small bowl of ytf soup! Such a comforting meal 😭 Noodles are qq, minced pork well marinated and both soup/sauce aint overly salty. 🥰🥰🥰 defo coming back!
