Vegetarian option's available too!
This totally matches my mood today because that's exactly how I'm feeling right now otw to the 8.30am class (woke up at 5.45am). Can someone grant me a break? Need like infinity hours of sleep 💤
Just had lunch at restaurant. The restaurant is inflexible when it comes to the menu they have. E.g. when I tried to order one of the main course & request to change the side dishes which is the veggies to fries, I was told that that cannot be done because they can't customize it. Which restaurant doesn't let the customer change the side dishes???
They also served the drinks to the wrong table when my friend said the other drink is mine the waiter sent it to another table beside us.
The food taste so so... Not fantastic.
Overall experience is bad... Don't think I'll come again.
Cause if there isn't, I'm so gonna head back again 🤤🤤
Crispy bread skin, soft bread meat. The soup has a strong lobster taste! 😄
Lazily resting in a perfectly adraoe position on their delectable mashed avocado brioche toast, this huge pan also came along with tater tots, mushrooms & seasonal greens.A fair amount of aromatic truffle presence was detected in the overall dish as well.
More than pure aesthetics, this has genuinely far exceeded my expectations for food from theme cafes (my previous experience from one at Orchard last year really gave me trauma). Even if it's not for the adorable factor, I'd still order this exact dish with the same recipe from other places (perhaps at a range from $16-18, after deducting the licensing fees & novelty). So yes, this has earned my thumbs up, anytime. Oh, & I enjoyed the murder scene 🙊
P.S. Special day in February & I'm showing to the world that I'm on a long term permanent relationship with food. Admit that I'm way behind time (but hey I've been abroad for awhile!), so glad to be finally catching up with time 😂 Hope everyone have a great day with lots of love! 💕
Valentine's Special Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict [$26.90] • Having major Monday Blues, if only I could happily Nua on my bed ☹️ .
I guess my expectations for any thematic cafes were lowered, & I thought that the Gudetama cafe was pretty good (besides being overpriced - it looks like I'm paying for the cuteness). .
Generous portion, kawaii-ness overload 💥 (especially the poached eggs, just look at them! 💛). But will I go back for another visit? Nah...
Finally no queue!! Thanks @michyue and Marianne for getting us a table, lunch was a breeze (though @michellegautrin's steak was quite a bit of a wait). For a themed cafe, the food was decent, just go with the right expectations. Those eggs were perfectly done!
🎆 since it's the year of the chicken/rooster, here's a relatively apt picture for you guys!
Because... We wouldn't know whether the chicken or the egg came first. So I guess they are the same! 🤔 Happy eggy new year!
The popular Sanrio character Gudetama has recently opened a new Gudetama Cafe at Suntec City. Featuring starter such as Lobster Bisque Onsen and mains such as "I'm Cold" Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, the cute design and better-than-average cafe food is definitely worth a visit. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg
Food here is rather good for a character cafe and the gudetama is so cute!
with the end of 2k16, Any new year resolutions for 2k17? 😉 A healthy and balanced diet always come with a CHEAT day 🙊 Desserts for mains? Why not! Cheat ur sight and diet to cheesecake, chocolate feullitine cake in disguise of tamago sushi and ramen bowl 🍣🍜 only possible at @gudetamacafesg. Kawaii neh? 😉
Passed by, no queue on a New Year Ph (Monday) thus went in.
Frankly, the burger and fries ($27.90++) were nothing fantastic... and the latte and cappuccino too.
Cute reno made the pics of the cafe turned out well, though.
Complete with cute posters and little "egg huts”, customized egg stools and a gigantic egg-crate table to get one into the mood of the famous lazy character. All that was missing would be the endless loop of their adorable (yet annoying) theme song playing in the cafe instead of merely on repeat at the entrance while in queue.
Loving their Gude Pudding ($16.90), the caramel flan was smooth, “eggy” and pleasantly wobbly. A good contrast of textures, the pudding served together with premium vanilla soft serve, caramelised bananas, apple crumble and a crispy sesame orange tuile was not overly sweet. The soft flan was also highly enjoyable to eat and so very instagrammable.
Decent lobster bisque in a large bread bowl! The broth was thick and creamy. Tried many other dishes here including their steak (tender but could be juicer), pork ribs (overpriced), eggs benny (yummy and adorable plating) as well as the seafood medley (not bad, liked the gigantic prawn).
