The price is quite ridiculous. I just wanted rice tbh but they only sell at least 3bucks worth of sides.
So rice with about 120g of pork belly it's almost 5 bucks
Rice is still good tho
The yam rice is still excellent, good balance between denseness and fluffiness. Duck is still tough, the sauce is strongly seasoned but lacks flavour, chili sauce too sharp, liver is overcooked. Gizzard is also overcooked
The kway teow is on the harder side, not my thing but still alright. However the dark sauce wasn't thick enough so overall it's pretty mild
After adding on the duck portion was reasonable, almost every spoon had a small piece of duck at least.
Congee was pretty thick, and it was decent overall. Quite mild tho as their sauce isn't super thick and the congee was thick
Duck leg portion is abit inadequate. The yam rice is lovely, with a mild umami from the dried shrimp. Gravy would have been tasty if it were abit more intense.
Their chili is sharp and the garlic is strong, very up my alley. Not too spicy too
Here's the funny thing, the kway chap set doesn't come with the kway. It's a separate add on for 0.7nett
This is the medium portion, good for 1 to 2. Everything on the plate is harder than ideal, but still barely considered tender. It's alright. The kway wasn't super good but the soup, thought light(like the gravy), is boosted w their aromatics. Their salted veg is good as ever.
Small intestines were bitter tho. Avoid that
