Gelato Messina’s a huuuuge brand in Melbourne and Sydney, known for the massive range of really solid gelato. They’ve got so many flavours, easily 30 at a go, it’s really hard to settle down on just a couple. Having visited a few times I’d say the Salted Caramel is an absolute must. Amazing texture, heavy handed enough with the salt, and an absolute stroke of genius to throw in slivers of salted caramel fudge in there! You won’t go wrong with their chocolate and nut flavours either 😉

A match made in heaven - salted caramel with coffee and cream 😋 It’s called Nicky Glasses. Pretty good ice cream. #maneklady #manekeats #manektravels

It’s always so tough choosing among their huge array of flavours so we ended up getting many scoops 😅. Their scoops are quite substantial but I guess that just adds to the joy. Got the refreshing and unique pandan one again which is among my top choices. Also really enjoyed #pistachiopraline that was nutty goodness with its mix of pistachio and many other nuts, and #strawberrysorbet which is really packed with fresh strawberry. The #saltedcaramelcoffee flavour was highly interesting as it was salty, sweet and bitter all at once. The coffee bitterness did overpour the salted caramel a bit and it left us a bit confused as to whether we liked or didn’t like it. The #tiramisuicecream had all the classic flavours with a good balance of alcohol.

One of the best gelato shops out there. Super creamy with fab flavours such as Poached Figs in Marsala, Italian Nougat and Choc Peanut Fudge. We took a looooong time to decide what we wanted. Pistachio was an appropriately brown colour with a real earthy taste. But the real star for me was the pear & rhubarb. The poached spiced rhubarb was so delicious with the pear gelato.

I'm so in love with pistachio gelato that every gelato shop I enter into, no matter the amount of funky wonky flavors they have I will ALWAYS choose pistachio. However, the pistachio flavor here was quite disappointing :-( but nonetheless the salted coconut mango gelato made up for it!!! So so so good (esp under the hot summer weather (38 deg!!) of Aussie) and it tasted like mango sticky rice in gelato form. Oh so good!!! We need a gelato Messina in SG pronto.

4th time back but their ice cream never fails to make me happy, even when it’s a cold winter-y day ☺️. Had the #pistachiopraline which is nutty but a bit sweeter today than usual, classic favourite #saltedcaramel, and one of my personal favourite #pandancoconut
