Finally tried this “expensive” yong tau foo bar near my office and while I did like the thick vermicelli in minced meat sauce, everything else was kinda bland. Much prefer the cheaper albeit even more crowded yong tau foo joint at the other end of Circular Road.
Just $6 (dry) for 6 pieces of ingredients and add $1.50 for a bowl of the beehoon in the renowned meat gravy. It might not look a lot but can get you rather filled up, go early to secure a table of this day-yongtaufu-night-bar eatery!
Whilst fairly conservative in its numb factor, the dish was robustly sweet and drinkable in manner of a soup, although sharing is essential as diminishing marginal returns in the form of a nagging, 100 Plus-craving saltiness will set in. 3.5/5
a hot bowl of soupy Yong Tau Fu with minced pork sauce on thick noodles. New outlet at Circular Road makes it even more convenient when you're having yongtaufu cravings.
The plating at #FuLinMenDouLao is just so exquisite - don't you agree?
Marinate it in beer before dipping it into flavourful boiling broth. Heaven ! 🍴
