From the Burpple community

The yuanyang is done slightly different from the ones you find at coffee shops. A glass of cold milk and a shot of espresso atop a frozen tea ice ball! While this allows the drink to remain undiluted, you can only taste the earl grey (I think) tea notes slightly towards the end of your drink. Predominately, it felt like I was drinking an iced latte, but with subtle floral and nutty undertones. I like that Foreword Coffee is committed to inclusive practices and sustainability too!

Grabbed a takeaway cup of yuan yang ($6.50)! Thought that the portion was quite small initially, but it worked out really well. The espresso shot mixes with the milk for a strong white, whilst the fragrance of earl grey comes towards the end as the ice ball melts. Really enjoyed this!

Foreword Coffee has always been one of my top spots for chilling, especially at their Temasek Shophouse outlet. I love that they bring awareness and familiarity to the differently anled community as well as support local home bakers by stocking their bakes – my favourite is their Chocolate Cloud Cake.

Drinks-wise I really enjoy their Timeless Yuan Yang which is an iced white with an earl grey tea ice cube! Super innovative and delicious. Their hot chocolate is a little too milky for my liking though!

Verdict: 9.5/10

Celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. With our two little ones. #tingzieeats #burpple #lovemhct

Walked past after closing time on so many occasions but managed to visit them one afternoon. Thrilled to have tried an citrus orange scone! Moreover, as an enthusiast of fusing flavours, I was excited to have the Yuanyang drink with Earl Grey Ice Ball! What made it even more hilarious was that I got the drink on the day of Mid-Autumn Festival, the very reason why the drink was originally created and subsequently kept on the menu permanently. You could say the stars aligned that day or well, it was a full moon. But... actually what made it possible was that the sun was still out, it was day time so I finally had the chance to try patronise the shop! Do check out their coffee sourced from mostly sustainable Southeast Asian origins~
