Desserts in this food court were surprisingly cheap.

New stall in on the claypot trend with a twist - the dishes are PRC-inspired. Stallholder was very nice but flustered as the only staff. This free side dish was bigger than expected. It's fine albeit hard.

New stall in on the claypot trend with a twist - the dishes are PRC-inspired. Stallholder was very nice but flustered as the only staff. We had a tough time deciding, because they have many interesting dishes. We ordered this partly because it's safe. The meat was tender and the tofu was nice to have. There's a bit more ingredients beneath, your typical China stuff. Maybe my only gripe is it's not that umami?

Previously read good reviews about it so I wanted to see how it fares against other katsu places. The pork katsu ($9.80) did not come with rice ($2.00 ala carte). In general, although pricey for a food court, the quality of the katsu is restaurant standard. However, for charging $2.00, the portion of rice given is quite stingy. Only a sad small dollop of mustard was given as well, although the store did give quite a lot of cabbbage (pictured). Overall, the food was pretty good. However, I feel that Maruhachi Donburi is more value for money overall and would prefer that over this (given they are both similar in terms of the food offered).

This under-the-radar stall serves a tasty Taiwanese style braised beef noodles soup.
.
The deep colour of the soup / broth reveals a robust meaty sweet savoury herbal flavour, and the braised beef brisket is fall-apart tender with big meaty herbal savoury spice notes.
.
The fresh baby bok choy lends a contrasting crunch with vegetal sweet flavour, while the slippery black fungus / cloud ear fungus holds vegetal earthy sweet notes.
.
Completed with chewy thin hand-pulled wheat noodles, and optional side of chili for a sharp spicy kick to the broth.
